'Hawks to lighten Lynch's load?: The Tacoma News Tribune speculates that there will be a big camp battle between the running backs behind starter Marshawn Lynch for spots on the depth chart. Why? Because the team wants to take some carries off of Lynch so that he's healthy for the playoff run. Lynch had a career-high 285 carries in 15 games last season with at least 20 carries in eight of his last nine games. Leon Washington figures to be the third-down back while Kregg Lumpkin and rookie Robert Turbin will vie for the backup job.

Fantasy Analysis
Don't let this report scare you off of Lynch as he'll be very involved in what the Seahawks do offensively from week to week. Not a single rusher on the Seahawks roster can bowl over defenders like Lynch, and that might force the team to lean on him. And they just paid him a nice contract extension this offseason -- they didn't do it to have him watch someone else run. Lynch has been solid in the three years of his career where he's had at least 200 carries. Though he's a little injury prone because of his hard rushing style, Lynch is still one of the few backs with 20-touch potential and goal-line work in the league. That's why he's worth a first-round pick this season in standard drafts, likely between fifth and 12th overall.
