Fantasy Analysis
Goldson topped double figures in tackles only once during the regular season before turning in a strong performance against the Saints. He also ranked fourth in the NFL with six interceptions during the regular season and should be viewed as a viable option in Fantasy IDP formats. (Updated 01/15/2012).
02/09/2012 05:41 Top 50 free agents: Former top pick Williams is top player on open market
The offseason is officially here and it's time to rebuild. Which free agents will command the most attention? Pete Prisco offers his top 50 and says don't look for any players over 30 or running backs near the top.
Dashon Goldson is a free agent this offseason, and he will look to find a new team if the 49ers choose not to bring him back. In 2010, Goldson played well with 78 total tackles (61 solo), one interception, one defensive touchdown, one sack and five passes defensed. Depending on where he signs, he is worth drafting as a No. 3 DB in IDP leagues, and he's an excellent choice with a late-round pick. Hopefully he can continue to improve and build on what he did last season. (Updated 5/2/11)
