The move essentially locks Long into the Rams' starting lineup for the foreseeable future. But that was expected in the first place. Long's in the No. 3 Fantasy DL conversation.

| Chris Long continues to develop into an elite pass rusher, and he should be considered a No. 2 defensive lineman on Draft Day. Long had 11.5 sacks in 2012 and now has 24.5 the past two seasons. He doesn't provide much else with 33 total tackles (25 solo) and no turnovers, and he has just two fumble recoveries in five seasons. But based on his sack total he remains a starting option in most IDP formats. He is worth drafting with a mid-round pick. (Updated 4/26/13) |
