Connor joins land of Giants: Looking to bolster their linebacker unit, the Giants signed former Cowboys linebacker Dan Connor on Saturday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Connor started five games at middle linebacker for Dallas last season, making 56 tackles. He also started three games at weakside linebacker. He played his first four seasons with the Panthers. "Being able stay in the same division is great," said Connor, who was released by Dallas on Monday.

Connor has played in 56 career games and racked up 222 tackles, but just one sack. He can play both inside and outside, so his signing casts some doubt on whether the Giants will bring back middle linebacker Chase Blackburn, who is a free agent. Heading into the 2013 campaign, Connor will need a starting job to be worth even a late pick in Fantasy IDP drafts.
