Dolphins sign Ellerbe: Former Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace isn't the only big named free agent taking his talents to South Beach, Ravens free agent linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is headed to Miami, too, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has confirmed. The Dolphins and Ellerbe have agreed to a five-year, $35 million contract. The deal was first reported by the Baltimore Sun. Ellerbe told the Baltimore Sun as recently as last week that he would like to remain a Raven, "The Ravens are a perfect situation for me. Hopefully, it's a perfect situation for me to sign on the dotted line," Ellerbe said. According to the report, the Ravens and Ellerbe were unable to reach a mutually attractive contract number, despite negotiating all day on Tuesday. (Updated 3/12/13) |

Ellerbe can do a little bit of everything. He can rush the passer, stop the run and cover receivers. In 2012 he had 92 total tackles and 4.5 sacks. He is worth a late-round pick in IDP leagues this season. (Updated 3/12/13). |
| The Dolphins made waves when they signed Dannell Ellerbe in free agency. Expected to replace Ray Lewis in Baltimore, the Dolphins made him an offer he couldn't refuse and now will settle in the middle of their 4-3 defense in 2013. It's a good place to be after he totaled 92 tackles with 4.5 sacks in Baltimore's 3-4 scheme last year. There's potential for over 110 total tackles there, making Ellerbe at least a No. 2 option heading into the year. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger on him with a middle- to late-round choice.
