Fantasy Analysis
The two sacks for Mayo were his first two of the season and the 13 tackles gives him 89 on the year. Injuries have hindered Mayo a bit this season, but he should still get to 100 tackles on the year. Mayo has been a consistent Fantasy option and should be active in many Fantasy IDP leagues going forward. (Updated 12/24/2011).

It's hard to argue with Tom Brady is at No. 1, but numbers 2-48 are all up for debate. Pete Prisco ranks the Super Bowl starters from both rosters and says with how close these two teams are talent-wise, get ready for another tight game.
Jerod Mayo continues to prove he's among the best linebackers in IDP leagues, finishing as the No. 1 Fantasy linebacker in leagues that count total tackles. That's because Mayo had 175 total tackles (114 solo) in 2010, adding two sacks, five pass defenses and three fumble recoveries. Mayo has over 100 tackles in all three seasons in the NFL and he should once again anchor the New England defense in 2011. This guy is as safe as it gets in IDP leagues. Plan on drafting Mayo with a mid-round pick this summer. Look for him to shine for the Patriots and Fantasy owners again. (Updated 5/2/11)
