Justin Forsett looks good with limited carries
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/12/14) Ravens running back Justin Forsett looked good in a limited role Week 2 against the Steelers.

Forsett gained 56 yards on just eight carries, good for a 7.0 average. Forsett didn't come out as the team's primary ball carrier, but did manage to receive an early goal line carry. He couldn't convert on the play. Forsett gained most of his yardage on a big 41 yard carry in the fourth quarter. He nearly scored on the play, but was taken down on the 1 yard line. Forsett received an opportunity to punch the ball in, but couldn't do it. Forsett also caught four passes for 16 yards.

He'll take on the Browns Week 3.

Bernard Pierce, Justin Forsett 'will both play a lot'
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/8/14) Asked which running back will start Thursday against the Steelers, Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters: "Bernard Pierce, Justin Forsett will both play a lot. Lorenzo Taliaferro will be involved as well."

Forsett led the way Week 1 with 11 carries for 70 yards and five catches for 14 yards. Pierce was benched after losing a fumble.

Justin Forsett a definite Fantasy consideration
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/8/14) The Ravens leaned on Justin Forsett following a Bernard Pierce fumble in their Week 1 loss versus the Bengals, and he looked good. The problem is that he's known more for being a part-time back in passing situations, not a full-time rusher. So it seems unlikely that the seventh-year veteran will finally have a chance to work in a major capacity. At least not so soon.

But he's worth speculating on via waivers or a cheap buy in FAAB leagues, especially in PPR formats.

Justin Forsett emerges in opener
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/7/14) Ravens running back Justin Forsett made a surprise impact Sunday against the Bengals, in a 23-16 loss in Week 1.

Forsett opened the game as the backup running back, but took advantage of his opportunity when Bernard Pierce had trouble holding on to the ball. He ended up finding success, rushing for 70 yards on 11 carries, including a 13-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. He added five receptions for 14 yards in the loss.

Forsett could see a nice-sized role yet again next week with Ray Rice still serving his suspension, but it will depend on what the team opts to do with Pierce after his struggles. The Ravens take on the Steelers Thursday in Week 2.

Look for more screen passes from Ravens
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/6/14) Expect Ravens running backs Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce to catch more screen passes this season. New offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak wants quarterback Joe Flacco to release the ball quicker, and Kubiak plans to use the screen pass to that effect.

"I was telling [coach] John Harbaugh the other night: 'You know, I think we've got a chance to be a pretty good screen team," Kubiak told ESPN.com. "Our guards are not only big and physical, but they can get out and run."

The Ravens have called 123 screen passes since 2001, fourth-fewest in the NFL over that span, the website said. In addition to Rice and Pierce, running backs Justin Forsett and rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro could benefit if Kubiak follows through on his plan.
