Crennel: Hillis is a 'complement': When asked how he envisioned using new running back Peyton Hillis, Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel called him "a complement." Hillis signed with the Chiefs this offseason, reuniting with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who helped Hillis to his breakout 2010 season in Cleveland. Hillis is expected to help run the ball with Jamaal Charles, who is coming off of a torn ACL but is expected to be ready for camp. "He does it all," Crennel said of Hillis at the NFL Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla. "A couple of years ago when he was in Cleveland, he ran, he caught, he blocked. ... I think he feels good about how he's going to be used. We're going to use him in several different ways." (Updated 03/27/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Daboll is coming off consecutive seasons of doing a solid job with the run game with Hillis in Cleveland in 2010 and Reggie Bush in Miami in 2011. Hillis was banged up and at odds with Browns front-office management last season, leading to less-than-ideal stats. With the news that Jamaal Charles is expected to be ready for the start of the year along with Hillis being called a "complement," perhaps there's just a limited amount of reps for the rusher beyond the goal-line. Hillis is a middle- to low-end No. 3 Fantasy RB worth a pick in Round 7 or 8, especially as a handcuff for Charles. (Updated 03/27/2012).
