(12/14/13) The Raiders placed defensive back Tyvon Branch on injured reserve Saturday, ending his attempted comeback from a fractured fibula suffered early in the season. Branch will sit out the final three games of the season, ending his year with just five tackles in two games.
Defensive lineman Ricky Lumpkin was added to the active roster to take Branch's spot.

|Tyvon Branch doubtful for game against Chiefs |
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
(12/13/13) Raiders safety Tyvon Branch hasn't played in a game since breaking his leg in Week 2. And it appears he won't play Sunday against Kansas City. He is listed as doubtful despite his limited participation in practice this week.
|Tyvon Branch is expected to make a full recovery after being placed on injured reserve with a broken ankle last year. He only appeared in two games and finished with five total tackles and one sack. Prior to getting hurt, Branch had at least 90 total tackles four years in a row from 2009-12. He only has four career interceptions and three career fumble recoveries, so we'd like to see him create more turnovers. But based on his tackle total he should be considered a No. 2 defensive back on Draft Day, and we recommend drafting him with a mid-round pick as long as he appears to be 100 percent.
