|(7/13/12) The Seahawks announced Friday they have released veteran receiver Mike Williams. Williams finished last year with 18 catches for 236 yards and one touchdown after having 65 receptions in 2010 thanks in part to an ankle injury. "We would like to thank Mike for his contributions over the past two seasons and we wish him well in the future," said General Manager John Schneider in a statement. |

|(7/10/12) Joining an ESPN report from early July, the Seattle Times reports that Mike Williams is one of several receivers on the roster bubble in camp this summer. Deon Butler and Ben Obomanu are other veterans who might struggle to make the cut. The Times believes no more than six receivers will make the final roster, with Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin and Golden Tate considered locks. |

|(7/3/12) ESPN believes that Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams is considered expendable given the number of young receiver talent on the roster heading into training camp. Williams is still fighting to get his injured ankle to 100 percent; he was running as far back as late April. |

|(12/20/11) Seattle WR Mike Williams was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after suffering a broken left ankle in Week 15 at Chicago. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Williams underwent successful surgery on to repair the ankle on Tuesday. Williams was injured in the third quarter of last Sundays win when he was tackled after making his second catch. Seattle signed DB Phillip Adams to take his place on the active roster.|
