Nate Washington gets in on the action

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/15/14) Wide receiver Nate Washington did in Week 15 what he was expected to do in Week 14: become the leading receiver for the Titans with Kendall Wright sidelined by a cracked bone in his hand. Against the Jets, he caught six of the 10 passes thrown his way for 102 yards, giving him his first 100-yard game of the season. Meanwhile, Derek Hagan, who led the Titans in receiving in Week 14, couldn't haul in any of the five passes thrown his way.

Wright's timetable is still up in the air, but Washington could still be a factor even after he returns. For one thing, he wouldn't return at 100 percent. For another, Washington is now averaging 65.7 yards in his last seven games. That probably isn't 12-team league stuff, but it's enough that he deserves to be more than 14 percent owned.

And if somehow you made it to your league's championship game despite a gaping hole at wide receiver, Washington is a viable option for you as long as he remains the Titans' go-to guy.

Titans' Nate Washington surpasses 100 receiving yards Sunday

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12/14/14) Titans wide receiver Nate Washington was able to surpass 100 receiving yards Sunday, but it was not enough to beat the Jets.

Washington was targeted a team-high 10 times and hauled in six receptions for 102 yards during a 16-11 loss to the Jets.

The 102 receiving yards marked the first time Washington was able to surpass 100 receiving yards this season and the six receptions were also a season high. Washington has not scored a touchdown since Nov. 30.

The Titans will play at Jacksonville Thursday.

Titans receiving corps still being sorted out

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/7/14) You probably expected wide receiver Nate Washington to step up for the Titans with Kendall Wright sidelined by a cracked bone in his hand Week 14 against the Giants. After all, he's the one who upped his game when Justin Hunter went down in Week 13, catching five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.

But while he was a factor in Week 14, catching three passes (on three targets) for 56 yards, he wasn't the team's most productive wide receiver. No, that honor went to Derek Hagan, who caught six passes (on seven targets) for 62 yards. He entered the game with only seven catches all season.

Of course, five of those looks came in the second half, when the Titans were already well out of it, and three came with backup quarterback Jake Locker, who replaced starter Zach Mettenberger in the rout. Wright could certainly return for Week 15 against the Jets -- he was questionable for Week 14 as it is -- and considering Washington was involved in the passing game even before Wright went down, he would be more likely to remain a factor with Wright back.

It all adds up to Hagan not being such an advisable pickup in Fantasy. Still a lot of variables at play here, and on a Titans offense still searching for its identity, he probably wouldn't be all that productive even if they all went in his favor.

Kendall Wright, Nate Washington held in check Week 12

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11/23/14) Titans wideouts Kendall Wright and Nate Washington were held in check during Sunday's defeat to the Eagles in Week 12.

Wright was held without a grab for the first three quarters. He came down with a 28-yard reception with 9:35 renaming in the game for his only catch of the day. He was targeted six times. Washington caught four of the six passes thrown his way for 63 yards.

Titans WR Nate Washington burns his former team

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/18/14) Titans wideout Nate Washington blew by Steelers corner William Gay on a double move shortly before halftime Monday and hauled in an 80-yard touchdown from Zach Mettenberger. He celebrated en route to the end zone, clearly enjoying burning his former team for his first touchdown this year.

Washington drew just two targets. He'll visit the Eagles in Week 12.
