Fantasy Analysis
Phillips has bounced back nicely the last two games after sitting out Week 14 with a knee injury. Phillips is having a career season and is worth using as a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy. (Updated 12/24/2011).
05/20/2012 12:37 Got a (Big) Nickel? You'll need one to combat hybrid offenses this fall
The defense was introduced by Bill Belichick, but it's the Patriots offense that's sparking a revival. Pat Kirwan looks at the Big Nickel, where an extra safety is the key, and how your team might need it to thwart new hybrid attacks.
Kenny Phillips had a productive year in 2011, but he still remains a low-end defensive back in IDP leagues. Phillips had a career-high four interceptions and also added 82 total tackles (59 solo), but he should still be considered just a No. 3 defensive back. Plan on drafting him with a late-round pick, and hopefully his tackle stats and interception totals remain the same as last year if not better. (Updated 4/24/12)
