Report: Packers set to re-sign DT Guion to one-year, $2.75M deal

|(3/30/15) The Packers have reached an agreement with defensive lineman Letroy Guion on a one-year deal, a source told ESPN. The deal is expected to be finalized by Tuesday.
Guion's deal is worth $2.75 million, a source told ESPN.
Guion played his first season with the Packers in 2014 after spending the previous six seasons with the Vikings. He totaled a career-best 32 tackles (22 solo) and 3 1/2 sacks in 16 games last season.

|(3/27/15) Nose tackle Letroy Guion visited with the Seahawks on Friday, adding another suitor into the mix as the Packers attempt to retain his services, per ESPN.com.
After Guion's criminal case was closed earlier in the week, with Guion paying only a fine, the Seahawks set up a visit. Guion recorded career-highs in tackles (32) and sacks (3 1/2) with the Packers in 2014.

|(3/25/15) After having his firearms and marijuana case closed, defensive tackle Letroy Guion is on the free agent market.
According to ESPN.com, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that the team would like to re-sign him.
"I think to a man, everybody would like to see Letroy be a Green Bay Packer," McCarthy said at the NFC coaches breakfast.
"He's been an excellent addition to our football team and it would be great to get Letroy back," McCarthy said. "Just from my conversations with him, I know he we wants to be a Green Bay Packer."
Guion signed with the Packers last year and he started all 16 games, recording career-highs in tackles (32) and sacks (3.5). The 27-year-old spent six seasons with the Vikings before joining the Packers.

|(3/24/15) Free-agent defensive tackle Letroy Guion's criminal case involving 357 grams of marijuana and an unloaded gun has been closed, according to a report from ESPN.com.
Guion paid a $5,000 fine plus court costs in a plea deal in his hometown of Starke, Fla. Guion did not have to admit guilt as part of the plea since he was a first-time offender.
In early February, Guion was pulled over and was found in possession of the large amount of marijuana, an unloaded firearm and $190,028.81 in cash. Police seized the vehicle and cash as a result of a civil forfeiture. Guion is trying to get his vehicle and cash back.

With the case behind Guion, he could be of interest to NFL teams. After six years with the Vikings, Guion spent the 2014 season with the Packers.

|(2/12/15) Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion has a probable cause hearing scheduled involving the forfeiture of his property during his arrest for possession of marijuana and a firearm, according to ESPN.com.
The items involved are the firearm Guion was found in possession of, over $190,000 in cash he was carrying the day of his arrest and the vehicle he was driving.
Guion was arrested on Feb. 3 in Starke, Fla. His marijuana charge is a felony since he was in possession of more than 20 grams.
Guion signed a one-year contract for $1 million in 2014. He's slated to become a free agent but had reportedly been in negotiations with Green Bay before this incident.
