Packers tab Letroy Guion to start at nose tackle
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(9/2/14) Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion will line up on the nose as a starter in Thursday's regular-season kickoff against the Seahawks, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
"Losing B.J. [Raji] doesn't change things," defensive coordinator Dom Capers said Monday. "Letroy Guion will step in there where B.J. is. The rest of the guys would be playing where they would be if B.J. was here."
Guion was a limited participant in training camp due to a hamstring injury, but the team is ready to roll with him in the base 3-4 defense at the nose. However, the defense usually plays about 70 percent nickel, which would limit Guion's playing time if that same ratio is struck this season.
