Bennett to be busy in 2012: The Buccaneers announced some tough news Thursday after defensive end Da'Quan Bowers suffered a torn Achilles tendon while participating in the club's offseason program. He's expected to miss the entire 2012 season. This news comes on the same day that the Bucs are believed to be moving Ronde Barber to safety from cornerback. Michael Bennett figures to see an increase in playing time with Bowers out. (Updated 05/10/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Bennett had a career-best four sacks and 39 total tackles last season with a forced fumble. In deeper IDP leagues he'd be worth a look late in drafts as a reserve DL. (Updated 05/10/2012).
Michael Bennett signed his one-year tender to stay with the Bucs this season. He's likely to pair with Adrian Clayborn as the primary pass rushers for the team. In 2011, he made 39 tackles, including four sacks and a team-best nine tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble and shared the team lead with two fumble recoveries. In 34 games over three seasons, Bennett has 57 tackles and six sacks. Bennett is a good player for the Bucs but isn't productive enough to call a reliable Fantasy option from week to week.
