Lofton slowing down late: Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton tallied five tackles -- all solo stops -- during New Orleans' 34-31 victory over Dallas in Week 16. Lofton was unable to produce a robust tackle total after matching a season low with three tackles last week, but still raised his season total to 118 stops. (Updated 12/24/12) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Lofton was one of the Saints' top producers of tackles during the early part of the season, registering double digits in stops during four of the first five games. But the 26-year-old production has slowed toward the finish and he has just eight tackles the past two weeks. Still, he remains a high-end Fantasy option for the rest of the season. | Changing teams did nothing to hurt Curtis Lofton's production in 2012, and hopefully changing schemes won't hinder him either. Moving to New Orleans, Lofton totaled 123 tackles with seven passes defensed, a sack and two forced fumbles. It was his fourth straight year with at least 110 total tackles. Now the Saints are moving to a 3-4 format, which means multiple inside linebackers. That could slow down Lofton's tackle totals, making him a bit of a risk as one of the top LBs in Fantasy. We'd prepare to draft him as a middle-of-the-pack No. 2 Fantasy linebacker with a mid- to late-round pick, but some will see his huge production over the past four years and take him sooner in your draft.
