Some Fantasy owners will look at Jairus Byrd's performance in 2010 and see a sophomore slump based on his performance as a rookie. In 2009, Byrd had nine interceptions to go with 45 tackles (33 solo) and 11 passes knocked down. But he followed that up with only one interception in 2010, even though he improved in other areas. Byrd had 89 tackles (62 solo), earned his first NFL sack and added three fumble recoveries. While the lack of interceptions hurt, Byrd still made strides. Fantasy owners looking at Byrd this year should consider him a sleeper. He obviously has a nose for the ball based on his rookie performance and his overall production should continue to grow. He's worth a late-round pick on Draft Day. Byrd should reward Fantasy owners who take a chance on him this season. (Updated 5/2/11)
