Report: Panthers will take offers for Stewart: After the Panthers said they had no interest in trading Jonathan Stewart following the signing of free-agent running back Mike Tolbert, The Sports Xchange reports that the Panthers will "definitely" listen to offers for Stewart. The former Oregon Duck is entering a contract year and will command a lot of money in the free agent market. With a lot of money tied up in DeAngelo Williams and Tolbert fresh on the scene, it only makes sense for the Panthers to listen to offers. Stewart ended 2011 with 761 yards with four touchdowns on 142 carries along with 413 receiving yards and a touchdown catch on 47 receptions.

Fantasy Analysis
The Broncos have a need for running back, and that's where ex-Panthers coach John Fox resides. The Steelers, Colts and Browns could also use some help at running back. One stumbling block is that any team that trades for Stewart would have to extend his contract, and teams might not be willing to do that. If he went to a team where he'd be the primary running back, Fantasy owners would have to consider him at the very least a high-end No. 2 option, if not a low-end No. 1 choice. But if he stays with Carolina and shares with Williams and Tolbert, Stewart wouldn't be any better than a No. 3 Fantasy RB without any guarantees on his role in the offense now that Tolbert has arrived. We'll see if anything happens.
