Preseason Outlook

Greene out with whimper: Jets RB Shonn Greene registered 14 attempts for 55 yards during New York's 19-17 loss to Miami in Week 17. Greene carried the ball at least 14 times for the fifth consecutive game, but posted a subpar 3.9 yards per attempt -- just the second occasion he did not top at least four yards during the second half of the season. The third-year back also failed to pace the team in rushing as LaDainian Tomlinson had 56 yards on 11 carries. (Updated 01/01/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Greene was banged up by a lingering rib injury during the last month of the season and surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark only once since suffering the setback at Denver on Nov. 17. Still, he was able to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career and also posted an impressive six touchdowns while taking over as New York's leading ball-carrier. He will enter the 2012 season again as the Jets' primary option in the backfield and should be viewed as a solid No. 2 Fantasy RB worthy of a selection early in drafts. (Updated 01/01/2012).
