RB Brown formally placed on IR: Rookie halfback Andre Brown has been placed on injured reserve by the New York Giants. The fourth-round draft pick from North Carolina State ruptured his Achilles' tendon in training camp, and he was among three roster moves on Tuesday as the Giants reduced their roster to 74 players. Brown recently had surgery to repair the tendon.

Fantasy Analysis

Brown was initially expected to be used in a reserve role with the Giants in his rookie season but that is obviously out the window. He should not be taken in any league on Draft Day and all Fantasy owners can do is wait until 2010 to take a flier on him.
