News: The Panthers placed WR Wallace Wright on the IR Tuesday with a shoulder injury.
Analysis: Wright is a nice special teams guy for Carolina but wouldn't have seen enough snaps at wide receiver to be worth worrying about in Fantasy play.
News: Panthers WR Wallace Wright is viewed as a very good special teams player, but he hopes to work more at receiver this year. "That's my goal," Wright said Friday. "I got into the league playing special teams, and I excelled at it in New York. They brought me in here to work on special teams but also to help on offense." That said, the best Wright can hope for is being the fourth or fifth receiver on the roster. He is currently behind Steve Smith, Dwayne Jarrett, Brandon LaFell and Armanti Edwards on the depth chart.
Analysis: Keep an eye on how Wright does during training camp, but don't expect him to do much this year. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: The Panthers added WR Wallace Wright this offseason for his special teams ability, but he's turned some heads with some nice catches this week in practice and shown good speed. That said, the best Wright can hope for is being the fourth or fifth receiver on the roster.
News: Carolina coach John Fox said in an interview with CBSSports.com at the NFL owner's meeting in Orlando, Fla., that the Panthers will continue to search for a WR to play opposite Steve Smith. Muhsin Muhammad is a free agent and is not expected to return, and Fox said the candidates to replace him are Dwayne Jarrett, Kenny Moore, Charly Martin and Wallace Wright. Moore and Martin signed their one-year tender offers as restricted free agents. "We've been in somewhat of a search for about eight years for that spot," Fox said. "It's all hands on deck. We've got some young guys there. Those players will answer that when we start OTAs and mini-camps and practices."
Analysis: Although it's unlikely, Fox wouldn't rule out a return by Muhammad. "Moose has been great for this organization," he said. "I've always appreciated him as a player and as a guy in the locker room. It's hard to predict how that's going to turn out, but he's done a lot of good things for us." As for Jarrett, Moore, Martin and Wright, they have minimal Fantasy value even if one emerges during training camp. The starter would be worth a late-round pick in deep leagues.
News: The Panthers inked receiver Wallace Wright, who was mostly a special teams player the past four seasons with the Jets. Wright grew up in Fayetteville, N.C., and started as a walk-on at North Carolina. He had just eight catches for 108 yards in his career with the Jets, but has 73 special teams tackles in 53 games.
Analysis: Expect Wright to continue working on special teams. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters.

News: Jets WR Wallace Wright had two catches for 21 yards during a Week 7 win against the Raiders. He was targeted just twice and his longest catch went for 14 yards. Wright came into the game with no catches on the season.
Analysis: Wright was actually involved on offense in Week 7 because of injuries to Brad Smith and Jerricho Cotchery. Usually, Wright either contributes on special teams or watches from the sidelines. He still has no Fantasy value heading into Week 8 against the Dolphins.
News: Jets WR David Clowney, WR Wallace Wright, RB Danny Woodhead, TE Ben Hartsock, TE James Dearth and QB Kellen Clemens didn't record offensive statistics against the Bills in Week 6.
Analysis: Clowney had a decent performance with Jerricho Cotchery out last week, but the Jets' passing game struggled too much for him to make an impact this week. He might deserve a look in deeper leagues for Week 7 at Oakland, but Cotchery might return by then. None of these other players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy.
News: The Newark Star-Ledger reports that Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery will miss Week 6 vs. Buffalo with a hamstring injury. He reportedly aggravated the injury while playing at Miami last week. Teammate Brad Smith (foot) might also miss the game, giving David Clowney and Wallace Wright the chance to see significant playing time against the Bills, and possibly giving RB Danny Woodhead the chance to play as a receiver.
Analysis: With Cotchery out, we like Clowney to step up and see a healthy dose of reps. He's definitely worth adding since he's good at catching the deep ball and has a little bulk to him. Consider him a low-end No. 3 option this week but a guy who could develop into someone who could post decent totals so long as Cotchery is sidelined.
News: Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery missed a second straight day of practice Thursday because of a hamstring injury and was uncertain whether he'll be ready to play against Buffalo. "It doesn't look real good," coach Rex Ryan said. "We'll see how he is." Cotchery was injured in practice last Thursday and sat out two days before playing Monday night at Miami. "We're taking the same program we took last week," Cotchery said. "We're just trying to treat it hard everyday and put in those long hours everyday to make sure we're taking care of this thing." WR Brad Smith (quadriceps) also didn't practice for the second consecutive day. If both Cotchery and Smith can't go, David Clowney and Wallace Wright would see increased time. The Jets also might add a new wrinkle, with RB Danny Woodhead working at wide receiver during practice Thursday. Woodhead is currently on the practice squad and imitates opponents' top running backs and receivers on the scout team.
Analysis: Keep an eye on Cotchery and see if he can play against the Bills. He should be considered a No. 3 Fantasy WR if he's able to play. Smith has minimal Fantasy value when healthy, and Clowney, Wright and Woodhead should not be used in any leagues.
News: New York Jets TE Ben Hartsock got the start on Monday night in a loss at Miami in Week 5. He did not make any catches or pick up any stats in the game. The following players played but had no stats: WR Wallace Wright, FB Tony Richardson and TE James Dearth. Backup QB Kellen Clemens did not play.

News:James Dearth, Shonn Greene and Wallace Wright all failed to record a stat Week 3 in a 24-17 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Greene is a rookie that is expected to eventually contribute at some point but is only worth owning in long-term keeper formats at this point. Dearth and Wright are not worth owning in Fantasy play.
News: Jets FB Tony Richardson, WR Wallace Wright, TE Brian Hartsock, TE James Dearth, WR David Clowney, QB Kellen Clemens and RB Shone Green all dressed for a Week 2 win over the Patriots, but didn't record a stat.
Analysis: Clowney, Greene and maybe even Clemens have some Fantasy value, but all are stuck in backup spots right now. Do not start any of these guys in Week 3 vs. Tennessee.

Analysis: None of the players on this list have any real Fantasy appeal. Leave them on the waiver wire until further notice.

Analysis: None of these players have any real worth in Fantasy and should be ignored. Continue leaving them on waivers for Week 17.
News: Jets WR Chansi Stuckey did not make any grabs in Week 15's win over the Bills. Stuckey joined TE James Dearth, WR Wallace Wright, TE Bubba Franks and backup QB Kellen Clemens as players who were active without picking up stats.
Analysis: Stuckey is really just a third receiver for the Jets and doesn't deserve so much attention in Fantasy. The others mentioned above have even less value and none should be active for Week 16 at Seattle.
