News: The Vikings drafted five defenders in April: Iowa DE Christian Ballard (Round 4), Utah CB Brandon Burton (Round 5), USF safety Mistral Raymond (Round 6), Ohio State LB Ross Homan (Round 6) and Arizona DE D'Aundre Reed (Round 7).
Analysis: Ballard has the most upside of the group and could get pushed into action in 2011 depending on how some the Vikings' free agents fare. Homan might have some long-term appeal. We wouldn't draft any of these guys in seasonal formats. Ballard would be worth a late-round pick in dynasty/keeper leagues and a middle- to late-round pick in rookie-only drafts. Homan would only be worth a late-round flier in deeper rookie-only drafts. Everyone else isn't worth your consideration.
