Kyle Williams back from torn ACL

(7/22/2014) Chiefs receiver Kyle Williams, who tore the ACL in his left knee for the second time last year, was a full participant Monday as the team began a three-day camp for rookies and selected veterans, reports ESPN.com. Williams will vie to replace Dexter McCluster at slot receiver.

"The knee feels good," Williams told the website. "It feels stable. It feels like a solid knee. I feel like myself out there. I felt like last year when I came in I could help. I feel the same way this year."

Williams made 47 catches in four seasons with the 49ers.


Kyle Williams to return by training camp?

(6/13/2014) Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday that he expects receiver Kyle Williams to be ready for the start of training camp. Reid is even hopeful Williams could participate in practices next week. 

Williams tore his ACL last season. He'll compete for playing time once he's on the field.

Chiefs wideout Kyle Williams done for season with ACL tear

(11/22/2013) Chiefs wide receiver Kyle Williams tweeted Friday that an ACL tear will end his season. Williams has been active for every game this year with five starts, but has been plagued with injuries. He caught nine passes in the first three games, but has just three for 24 yards since and hasn't scored a touchdown all year.

(11/10/2013) Fullback Bruce Miller and wideout Kyle Williams both contributed one catch for the 49ers in their loss Sunday to Carolina. Miller gained 10 yards on his first-half snag while Williams went got five on his, also before intermission.

Running back Kendall Hunter added 8 yards on three attempts in the ground game. LaMichael James was stopped for a 1-yard loss in his only carry.

Hogan was questionable, while the rest of the players were probable.

(10/27/2013) Bills defensive lineman Kyle Williams, who has been dealing with an Achilles injury for several weeks now and was listed as probable coming into the game, had his best effort of the season Week 8 at New Orleans. He recorded 1 1/2 sacks, giving him four overall, and had a season-high nine tackles, including six solo.

The four sacks put him just 1 1/2 away from his career high. He's averaging 4.8 tackles per game.

(10/27/2013) 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams overcame a minor injury to play Sunday in the Week 8 easy win over Jacksonville from London. Williams did a bit of everything in the game.

He caught one pass for 7 yards on the game and added a rushing attempt for 10 yards. Williams did not score and recovered a fumble. The Niners have a bye Week 9 and return Week 10 against Carolina.

In the passing game, backup tight end Vance McDonald hauled in tipped pass from Colin Kaepernick for a 20-yard gain. It was his only catch of the day. Fullback Bruce Miller caught his only pass of the night for a gain of 9 yards. He also had one carry for 1-yard. Wide receiver Kyle Williams was targeted once and was held without a grab.

In the running game, Kendall Hunter had four carries for only 6 yards while Anthony Dixon took his only handoff of the day for a gain of 8 yards in a 31-17 victory.

(10/13/2013) Several 49ers made minor offensive contributions in the win over Arizona. Running back Anthony Dixon ran three times for 4 yards and caught a 3-yard pass. Fullback Bruce Miller carried twice for 6 yards and caught an 11-yard pass.

Wideout Marlon Moore had a 9-yard run, receiver Kyle Williams made a 14-yard catch and receiver Jon Baldwin had a 9-yard grab. Tight end Vance McDonald caught a 7-yard pass.

Williams was targeted just one time in the game, and he could not come up with the reception. Williams has nine receptions for 87 yards, but has brought in fewer than half of the 19 passes thrown his way overall.

The 49ers will take on the Texans in Week 5.

(9/16/2013) 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams led the team in receiving yards during Sunday night's game at Seattle in Week 2.

Williams caught two passes for 21 yards during the team's third series on offense in the opening quarter. He was held in check throughout the rest of the way. He caught four of the six passes thrown his way for a team-high 39 yards in a 29-3 defeat.

Williams has racked up seven catches for 75 yards through two games. The 49ers will host the Colts in Week 3.
