News: Raiders receiver Jacoby Ford said he's 100 percent healed from what is believed to be a Lisfranc sprain suffered in his foot, the second one he's had in as many years. He'll be ready for minicamp.
Analysis: Ford might be in line for kickoff and punt returns for the Raiders, but he's at best third on the depth chart at receiver behind Denarius Moore and Rod Streater. Ford should not be drafted in the majority of leagues this season.
News: The Contra Costa Times reports that prosecutors have decided not to file any charges against Raiders receiver Jacoby Ford after he was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated last month, officials said Wednesday. Ford, 25, was arrested March 14 in Oakland after California Highway Patrol officers pulled him over for having tinted windows so dark officers could not see inside the driver's window of his black Mercedes. Ford was arrested on DUI charges and taken to North County Jail, where he was booked and released within hours. The California Highway Patrol submitted the charges to the Alameda County District Attorney's office, and after reviewing the case, prosecutors announced their decision nearly one month later. "The District Attorney's office has declined to file charges against Jacoby Ford," said Teresa Drenick, Alameda County District Attorney spokeswoman. A spokesman for the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night said little about the arrest and dismissal of charges. "The Raiders organization is aware of the situation involving Jacoby Ford and takes matters such as this very seriously," he stated.
Analysis: Ford has a long way to go before Fantasy owners can trust him again. He might be in line for kickoff and punt returns for the Raiders, but he's at best third on the depth chart at receiver behind Denarius Moore and Rod Streater. Ford should not be drafted in the majority of leagues this season.
News: The Raiders placed wide receiver Jacoby Ford on season-ending injured reserve Saturday after having foot surgery earlier this week. Ford was inactive during Week 1 against San Diego and has not played since injuring his foot in the middle of August.
Analysis: The speedy, but oft-injured Ford played in just eight games last season as he struggled to create an identity in Oakland's offense that ranked 11th in the NFL in passing. With Ford sidelined, rookie receiver Rod Streater should continue to earn additional looks in the passing game from quarterback Carson Palmer. Fantasy owners should discard Ford in all formats.
News: Oakland wide receiver Jacoby Ford was ruled out for Week 2 at Miami after having foot surgery earlier this week. Ford was unable to practice throughout the past week and coach Dennis Allen said there is a possibility Ford is placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Analysis: Ford is expected to miss a sizable chunk of the season, which prompted Allen to make the declaration the team could end Ford's year early. While Ford is sidelined, Rod Streater should continue to receive additional looks in the passing game from Carson Palmer. Fantasy owners should not waste a roster spot on Ford at this point in the season.
News: Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Thursday there is a "strong possibility" wide receiver Jacoby Ford, who had foot surgery this week, will be placed on season-ending IR.
Analysis: Allen said earlier this week Ford would be out a significant period of time, and now it seems he could be out the entire year. Fantasy owners in deep formats might consider taking a flier on Rod Streater, who benefits from Ford's absence. Ford is only worth stashing in the deepest of formats, but if you need the roster spot, then feel free to cut him.
News: Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday wide receiver Jacoby Ford had successful surgery for a Lisfranc injury to his left foot. There is still no timetable for how long Ford will be out.
Analysis: Allen said Tuesday Ford will be out a "significant" period of time, so he isn't going to be back shortly. Fantasy owners in deep formats might consider taking a flier on Rod Streater, who benefits from Ford's absence. Ford is only worth stashing in the deepest of formats, but if you need the roster spot, then feel free to cut him.
News: Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said wide receiver Jacoby Ford will undergo foot surgery Tuesday and be out a "significant" amount of time, according to the Oakland Tribune. Ford was inactive Week 1 against the Chargers and has been idle since injuring his foot in mid-August.
Analysis: What a tough setback for Ford, who has dealt with foot problems dating back to last season. Now with the news Ford will be out for a significant amount of time, Fantasy owners in deep formats might consider taking a flier on Rod Streater, who benefits from Ford's absence. Ford is only worth stashing in the deepest of formats, but if you need the roster spot, then feel free to cut him.
News: Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford (foot) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Chargers after missing the entire practice week. "We're a little bit at a standstill with him right now," head coach Dennis Allen said, per the San Jose Mercury News. "We're going to keep evaluating him and see where he's at, but he's obviously out this week."
Analysis: Ford has been sidelined since injuring his foot in mid-August. Allen isn't sure if he will need surgery, but obviously the team continues to hold out hope. Ford is worth stashing in deeper formats while he sits out. His absence means Rod Streater could see some more reps at receiver, but he should only be used in the deepest of formats.
News: Raiders receiver Jacoby Ford did not dress for Thursday's preseason finale against the Seahawks as he continues to deal with a sprained left foot. According to head coach Dennis Allen, Ford has not been able to run on his injured foot but did catch some balls from the JUGS machine on Tuesday. "I think theyre close but I dont know if close means tomorrow or the next day or exactly when that means...I hope close means real soon, said Allen.
Analysis: Ford removed the protective boot he was wearing which is obviously a good sign as the Raiders have a thin receiver core at this point heading into the season opener. We'll continue to keep an eye on his status as he may head into the season a bit banged up with the same injury that left him out for six games last year. He caught 19 passes for 279 yards last season and could be a big contributor out of the slot this season. Ford can be considered worthy of a late-round pick as long as he enters the season healthy.
News: Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford was out as expected Saturday against the Lions, as he continues to deal with a sprained left foot. Ford left last weeks game with the injury, the same one that cost him six games last season.
Analysis: Ford is one of just three receivers on the roster that has NFL experience, and it looks like he may head into the season banged up, so this is not good news for a thin group. This injury is not considered as serious as last years, but even if it takes him half as long to recover, he will still be in doubt for the regular season opener. At this point, Ford should be left off of your board on Draft Day, as there is too much uncertainty surrounding his status to make him worth drafting.
News: The Raiders' already thin wide receiver group was dealt another blow with Jacoby Ford expected to miss time because of a sprained left foot. Ford underwent an MRI on Saturday, a day after leaving Oakland's preseason loss to Arizona in the first quarter. Ford missed six games last season for the Raiders with a sprained left foot although coach Dennis Allen said this one doesn't appear as serious. "Obviously, it looks like Jacoby is going to miss a little bit of time, don't know exactly to what extent yet," Allen said. "We're still seeing where he's at."
Analysis: The Raiders have only three receivers on the roster who have ever caught a pass in the NFL and all are nursing injuries. Darrius Heyward-Bey left Friday's game with a sprained shoulder that isn't believed to be serious. Denarius Moore hasn't played in the preseason as he recovers from a hamstring injury sustained during minicamp in June. Meanwhile, Allen couldn't rule out the chance that Ford would miss the opener on Sept. 10 against San Diego. Ford's injury certainly dampens his chances of being available for Week 1 and he should be bypassed in Fantasy drafts.
News: Raiders receiver Jacoby Ford left Friday's preseason game against the Cardinals with a sprained foot. Ford sustained the injury sometime during the first half of the 31-27 defeat and did not return to the contest. He finished with two receptions for 21 yards prior to leaving the game.
Analysis: The Raiders did not yet announce any sort of timetable for Ford, but that will likely depend on how sprained his foot injury really is. Hopefully he is able to return by the start of the regular season, but there is really no way of knowing at this point. Ford was expected to be compete for the team's No. 3 receiver spot behind Denarius Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey. Keep an eye on his status moving forward. Ford can be considered worthy of a late-round pick as long as he enters the season healthy.
News: Oakland wide receiver and return man Jacoby Ford had a nightmarish start to the preseason on Monday against the Cowboys. Ford was the intended receiver on Carson Palmer's early interception and added two more drops in the performance. He finished without a catch, despite three targets, and added a fumbled punt return before picking it up and stepping out of bounds. Ford is slated to be the Raiders' No. 3 option in the passing game this season and was the second option Monday with Denarius Moore out injured.
Analysis: Ford got off to a horrid start on Monday night and the Raiders really need him to make an impact this season. The team has a young receiving corps, but needs Ford to step up as the third option behind Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey. After his rough start, Fantasy owners don't need to be drafting Ford at this time. He might be worth a mid-season pick up if he starts to perform.
News: After missing the previous six games due to a foot injury, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford returned in Week 17 against the Chargers. He finished with two catches for 13 yards in the 38-26 loss.
Analysis: Ford finished 2011 with 19 catches for 273 yards with one touchdown. While he has some big-play ability, he has a long way to go before becoming a reliable option in Fantasy. Plan on ignoring Ford in the majority of Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
News: After missing the previous six games due to a foot injury, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford has been ruled active for Week 17 against the Chargers.
Analysis: Ford isn't an integral member of Oakland's passing scheme and has recorded just 17 receptions in seven games this season. In the teams' first matchup, he was held to one catch for 41 yards before suffering the injury. San Diego is permitting an average of 19.2 Fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Ford is not considered a worthwhile starting Fantasy option for Week 17.
News: Raiders Jacoby Ford was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. He has missed the last six games due to a foot injury. Oakland takes on San Diego in Week 17. I was able to do some things in practice just to see if Ill be able to do them in the game," he said. "I definitely think they went well. It was definitely a positive week for me so Ill feel good going into the game.

In the teams' first matchup, he was held to one catch for 41 yards before suffering the injury. San Diego is permitting an average of 19.2 Fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Analysis: Ford was injured against the Chargers and hopes to return for Sunday's rematch. However, he isn't an integral member of Oakland's passing game and recorded just 17 receptions in seven outings this season. In the teams' first meeting, he was held to one catch for 41 yards before suffering the injury. San Diego is permitting an average of 19.2 Fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Ford is not considered a worthwhile starting Fantasy WR option even if he's able to play in Week 17.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was listed among the inactives for Week 16 against the Chiefs. It was the sixth straight game he missed due to a foot injury.

News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who has missed the last four games with a foot injury, did not return to practice Thursday, reducing his chances of playing Week 15 against the Lions.
Analysis: While Ford has been working on conditioning and agility, it still would be shocking if he returns Week 15. If his status improves, then we will let you know. For now, plan to use healthier alternatives.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was unable to practice on Wednesday but did some agility and conditioning drills on the sidelines. He has missed the last four games due to a foot injury. Oakland takes on Detroit in Week 15.
Analysis: Ford has been able to start running again but cutting drills are still a challenge for the 24-year-old. Keep an eye on his status throughout the week to see if he will be able to practice. If he does it will go a long way for him playing on Sunday but given his current situation, owners should plan on using a more reliable option for Week 15.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who has missed the last four games with a foot injury, worked out with a team trainer Monday, reports the Contra Costa Times. Ford was able to run, but he didn't cut or plant on his injured foot. He said his foot is getting better, but he isn't sure he will practice leading up to Week 15 against the Lions. Theres just certain things out there that we just worked on today, Ford said. We wanted to see how my straight ahead running was, just to see if I can actually do that and get up on my toes. That went pretty well today.
Analysis: Ford understands the urgency for him to get back onto the field as Oakland remains in the playoff hunt. But he also doesn't want to rush back before he is ready. I wouldnt say I would want to rush back and not be able to be my regular Jacoby Ford out there on the field, Ford said. I definitely want to be the same player I was before I got injured. I wouldnt want to go out there if I dont feel confident in myself to play to the best of my abilities and hurt the team instead of help the team. Even if Ford returns Week 15, he would be an injury-risk Fantasy option.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was listed among the inactives for Week 14 against the Packers. It was the fourth straight game he missed due to a foot injury.
Analysis: Ford was able to do some work earlier in the week so hopefully he will be able to return in Week 15. Keep an eye on his status leading up to then to see if he can continue to make progress. Ford has some big-play ability in Oakland and should be considered a low-end Fantasy WR, when healthy.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will miss a fourth straight game Week 14 at Green Bay because of a foot injury. He was ruled out Friday.
Analysis: In an encouraging note with Ford, he was spotted working with trainers on Friday, which could be a sign he has a chance to return Week 15. Unfortunately, Fantasy owners need to keep him reserved Week 14 since he won't be returning.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (foot) did not return to practice Thursday, missing a second straight practice. He has missed the last three games and his status for Week 14 at Green Bay is TBD. The Packers rank 31st in the league in pass defense, giving up nearly 293 yards per game, and have allowed an average of 25.8 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Analysis: Ford said Monday he wasn't sure about his status for Week 14, but it doesn't look good since he is still missing practice. He still has a few more days to get ready, but Fantasy owners should plan to use healthier alternatives until further notice.

News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who has missed the last three games with a foot injury, said Monday he wasn't sure if he would return Week 14at Green Bay. Ford went for treatment on his injured foot Monday.
Analysis: Fantasy owners are going to have to keep tabs on Ford's status. If he practices this week, then that would be encouraging. The Raiders could use his presence in the passing game. If Ford returns Week 14, he could be considered a No. 3 Fantasy WR against a suspect Packers secondary. WRs average 25.8 Fantasy points per week against Green Bay, which is second-highest in the NFL.
News: As expected, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (foot) is inactive Week 13 at Miami. Ford has now missed three straight games.
Analysis: Ford has held that his foot injury isn't as bad as Darren McFadden's foot injury, but he continues to sit idle for Oakland. It's a shame too since Ford was really developing into a big-play threat for Oakland and Fantasy owners. Continue to keep Ford stashed in Fantasy, and check his status leading up to Week 14 at Green Bay.
News: The Raiders announced on Friday that WR Jacoby Ford has been ruled out for Week 13 against the Dolphins. He missed practice all week as he continues to deal with a foot injury. It will be the third straight game Ford has missed.
Analysis: This injury has definitely given a blow to Ford's Fantasy value as he had been developing a nice rapport with new QB Carson Palmer. He said earlier in the week that his injury is not that severe so keep an eye on his progress going forward to see when he might be able to get back on the field. Until then, keep Ford stashed away in deeper Fantasy leagues as he has some big-play ability for the Raiders.
News: Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot), WR Jacoby Ford (foot) and WR Denarius Moore (ankle) missed practice again Thursday. Oakland is preparing to play Miami in Week 13.
Analysis: Ford said earlier in the week that he was hoping to practice this week. He also said his foot injury isn't as severe as the one McFadden is dealing with. Ford was developing into a big-play threat for QB Carson Palmer before getting hurt in Week 10 at San Diego, so the Raiders and Fantasy owners are anxious to see him back on the field. The Raiders play at Miami in Week 13, which would be a favorable matchup if Ford is healthy. But there would be some risk to starting him since he is coming off a few-week layoff. Continue to track his progress, but it looks like Fantasy owners will need to use healthier alternatives.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who has missed the last two games with a sprained foot, did not return to practice Wednesday in prep for Week 13 at Miami. Ford did some jogging on the sidelines, however.
Analysis: Ford said earlier in the week that he was hoping to practice this week. He also said his foot injury isn't as severe as the one teammate Darren McFadden is dealing with. Continue to track his progress.

Continue to track his progress.
News: As expected, Oakland WR Jacoby Ford (foot) missed Week 12 against Chicago. Ford had been in a walking boot during Week 11, but was out of it for practice this week. Still, he was unable to participate and was ruled out Friday.
Analysis: Ford had emerged as a good big-play option for the Raiders, averaging almost 25 yards per catch over his two games prior to the injury. However, Ford is a player who has more value to his team than to Fantasy owners as he doesn't get enough targets to produce consistently, and remains nothing more than a low-end option in deep Fantasy leagues.
News: Oakland WR Jacoby Ford was ruled out for Week 12 against Chicago because of a troublesome foot injury. Ford had his walking boot removed earlier this week, but has not been able to practice because of the issue. He will miss his second game in a row on Sunday.
Analysis: With Ford's out, the Raiders will be light on big-play receivers against the Bears. Oakland's other wide receivers have been hampered by injuries, including a foot injury to speed threat Denarius Moore. Ford has just 17 receptions for 260 yards and a touchdown this season as he continues to have higher value on special teams. Fantasy owners should consider him a low-end option in deeper formats when healthy.
News: Oakland WR Jacoby Ford (foot) remained absent from practice Thursday despite ditching his walking boot. Ford also did not practice on Wednesday and is status for Week 12 against Chicago is uncertain. He missed the Raiders' game in Week 11 with the injury.
Analysis: Oakland is extremely light on wide receivers this week, as Ford is one of four who missed practice on Wednesday. If his status improves, he might get some looks simply because the Raiders are likely to be hurting for options in the passing game. However, he remains a low-end WR option and Fantasy owners should seek healthier alternatives in Week 12.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who sat out Week 11 with a foot injury, did not return to practice Wednesday in prep for Week 12 vs. Chicago. Ford is still in a walking boot, coach Hue Jackson said. Hes very close to being out. I think hes still in it for maybe one more day. I think hell be out of that thing pretty soon," Jackson said.
Analysis: The Raiders have been very careful with RB Darren McFadden, who has been out a few weeks with a foot injury, so we have to figure they will show the same care with Ford. The Raiders are extremely light on wide receivers this week, as Ford is one of four who missed practice on Wednesday. If his status improves, he might get some looks, simply because the Raiders are going to be seriously hurting for options in the passing game. Until you hear more on his availability, look to healthier alternatives in Week 12.
If his status improves, then we will let you know. For now, look to healthier alternatives in Week 12.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who was ruled out earlier in the week with a sprained foot, is officially inactive for Week 11 at Minnesota. Coach Hue Jackson expects Darrius Heyward-Bey to step up in Ford's absence.
Analysis: Ford had a breakthrough performance against the Broncos in Week 9, but this injury has the potential to make him a forgotten man in the Raiders' passing game. Even if he's healthy enough to play Week 12 against the Bears, he would likely be just a low-end option.
News: Raiders RB Darren McFadden and WR Jacoby Ford missed practice again Friday each with a sprained foot, and have been officially ruled out for Week 11 at Minnesota. McFadden has missed the past two games, while Ford was injured last week against San Diego.
Analysis: With Ford offically ruled out for Sunday's game, Fantasy owners need to plan on using healthier alternatives for Week 11. It's a shame too since the Vikings are weak against the pass and this would be a great week to start Ford if he were healthy. Keep an eye on his progress going forward and keep Ford stashed away until he is able to return.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who suffered a foot injury Week 10, did not return to practice Thursday, hurting his chances of playing Week 11 at MInnesota.
Analysis: It's not looking overly optimistic that Ford will be able to play Week 11. Seeing how the Raiders have been cautious with RB Darren McFadden's foot injury leads us to believe they might handle Ford with the same care. As of now, Fantasy owners need to plan on using healthier alternatives for Week 11. It's a shame too since the Vikings are weak against the pass and this would be a great week to start Ford if he were healthy.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who injured his foot Week 10, did not practice Wednesday in prep for Week 11 at Minnesota. As of Monday, he was still in a walking boot.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who hurt his foot Week 10 at San Diego, did not practice Monday and is still in a walking boot, according to head coach Hue Jackson. Oakland, which played on Thursday, will travel to Minnesota in Week 11. Were going to know more as we move through the week, Jackson said of Fords status for Sundays game against Minnesota.
Analysis: The Raiders still have about a week before taking the field against Minnesota, so Ford still has time to recover. However, his status during the practice week will tell us a lot. Continue to track Ford's progress, but plan to have healthier alternatives available if Ford is sidelined for the game.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was on his crutches and wearing a large walking boot on his left foot Friday morning after suffering a sprained foot Thursday night against San Diego. Im feeling a little better than it did last night, so thats a positive, said Ford, who had yet to have an MRI.
Analysis: The good news for Ford is that he gets extra time to rest since Oakland played Thursday and won't play again until Nov. 20 at Minnesota (Week 11). However, he limped badly off the field Thursday and we have seen Oakland be very careful with Darren McFadden, who also has been dealing with a foot injury. It wouldn't surprise us if Ford sits Week 11, but keep tabs on his progress. If active, then Ford can be considered a viable No. 3 Fantasy WR since he is turning into one of Carson Palmer's favorite targets.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford left Week 10 against the Chargers in the first quarter due to an injury to his left foot. He suffered the injury on a 41-yard catch and had to be helped off the field. He was taken back to the locker room on a cart where he was diagnosed with a sprain.
Analysis: Ford came up gimpy after making a big play on Thursday night and appears to be building a solid rapport with new QB Carson Palmer. He spent the second half of the game admiring from the sidelines on crutches so keep an eye on his progress going forward. Ford is one of the better play makers in Oakland and can score anytime he touches the ball. When healthy, he should be considered a viable Fantasy WR in deeper leagues.
News: Raiders QB Carson Palmer isn't short on praise for WR Jacoby Ford, who caught an 18-yard touchdown pass against Denver in Week 9. I have a ton of confidence in him," Palmer said. "I dont have a lot of playing experience with him, but Ive seen about every play hes made in a Raider uniform. I remember him in college. I know what hes capable of. He may be short, but he plays a lot bigger than he is.
Analysis: It's always a good sign when your QB talks you up, so it seems Ford is still going to be a big part of the offense moving forward. We just have to see if he can repeat his Week 9 success. The Chargers await Ford and the Raiders in Week 10. San Diego ranks fourth in the league against the pass, giving up under 192 yards per game, and have allowed an average of 19.5 Fantasy points per week to opposing wideouts. In two games against the division rival a year ago, Ford had one catch for 4 yards. Heading into Week 10, consider Ford a low-end No. 3/high-end No. 4 Fantasy WR.
News: After posting a season-high five catches for 105 yards and a touchdown his last time out, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will be looking for similar success in Week 10 against the Chargers. San Diego ranks fourth in the league against the pass, giving up under 192 yards per game, and have allowed an average of 19.5 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts. In two games against the division rival a year ago, Ford had one catch for 4 yards.
Analysis: Ford saw an increased role in the offense under new QB Carson Palmer last week and could become his go-to receiver going forward. His speed an elusiveness gives him the ability to go off any given week so continue to monitor his progression with Palmer. While the Chargers have limited most teams through the air thus far, they have given up a good amount of Fantasy points to receivers. Heading into Week 10, consider Ford a low-end No. 3/high-end No. 4 Fantasy WR.
News: Oakland WR Jacoby Ford recorded five receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown during the Raiders 38-24 loss to Denver in Week 9. Ford, who had not surpassed more than three catches in a game this season, posted an average of 21 yards per reception. He scored his first touchdown of the season on an 18-yard pass from QB Carson Palmer during the third quarter. Ford finished the game with five targets from Palmer.
Analysis: With Palmer under center for the first time since joining Oakland, Ford had an increased role in the teams offense and nearly matched his season yardage total (114) in Sunday's game. He continues to be an active member on special teams and racked up 39 yards on two kickoff returns. Consider Ford a possible rising option in deeper Fantasy formats for Week 10 at San Diego as he formed an early bond with Palmer.
News: Oakland WR Jacoby Ford has failed to top 50 receiving yards in five games this season as he has mainly been utilized on special teams. But with the addition of QB Carson Palmer, Ford could find more opportunities in the passing game and could surpass three catches for the first time this season. The Raiders host Denver in Week 9 on Sunday; Ford finished with three receptions for 22 yards in the teams' first meeting this season.
Analysis: Ford has turned in better efforts on special teams than lining up a receiver as he has notched one return touchdown this season. But he has had some success against the Broncos and hauled in a 71-yard touchdown pass against Denver last season -- the longest catch of his career. He could lose some looks to new WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh and should only be viewed as a low-end WR option in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was not much of a factor in Week 7 against the Chiefs. Ford was held to just 18 total yards on three touches (two receptions, one rush) in the 28-0 contest and was once again unable to find the end zone. He was targeted a combined five time by QBs Kyle Boller and Carson Palmer and also returned one kickoff for 6 yards.
Analysis: Ford once again was not a factor for the Raiders on offense, which has pretty much been the case all season. He has yet to catch more than three passes in a single game and is still looking for his first touchdown. While the addition of Palmer should help his stock rise a bit, Ford should merely be considered a low-end Fantasy option until he proves he can produce consistently on a weekly basis. Oakland is on a bye in Week 8 before taking on the Broncos in Week 9.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will likely be catching passes from QB Kyle Boller in Week 7 against the Chiefs. The NFL Network reported on Friday that Boller would get the start on Sunday, despite the team's acquisition of Carson Palmer earlier in the week. The Chiefs enter the contest ranked 17th in pass defense, allowing 249.6 yards per contest. Kansas City has surrendered 12 touchdowns through the air and allowed an average of 26.6 Fantasy points to opposing WRs on the season.
Analysis: Ford hasn't been much of a factor in the Raiders' passing game thus far and has failed to catch more than three passes in any one game this season. While the addition of Palmer should help his stock rise a bit, it won't matter much this week with Boller under center. Kansas City has struggled to defend the pass this season, but Ford's inconsistent production makes him way too risky of a start in most leagues. Consider him merely a low-end emergency No. 4 Fantasy WR heading into Week 7.
News: The Raiders traded for QB Carson Palmer from the Bengals on Tuesday, which means WR Jacoby Ford will get a new passer to help replace the injured Jason Campbell (collarbone). Palmer should help Ford going forward since he's a proven passer, and he has a good history with quality receivers in Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens. Palmer is not expected to start in Week 7 against Kansas City, with Kyle Boller getting the nod. The Chiefs are ranked 17th in pass defense and have allowed an average of 26.6 Fantasy points this season.
Analysis: Ford hasn't been much of a factor in the Raiders' passing game thus far, but the addition of Palmer could change that moving forward. Keep on eye on who is under center in Week 7 against the Chiefs. While Kansas City has struggled to defend the pass this season, Ford has yet to establish himself as a legitimate contributor on offense and therefore should be considered a merely a low-end option heading into Week 7.
News: Oakland receiver Jacoby Ford had a big game in Week 6 in a win over the Browns. Ford gave the Raiders the lead for good in the second quarter as he returned a kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown against the Browns. Ford added three catches for 43 yards in the game and was targeted numerous times by Oakland QBs Jason Campbell and Kyle Boller. Most of Ford's production came with Campbell in the game, however, and the starter broke his collarbone and is likely done for the season. Ford's longest grab went for 27 yards. He did not score an offensive touchdown.
Analysis: Ford had a monster game in Week 6 against the Browns. Ford had that 101-yard kick return for a touchdown, but was also solid offensively as he was leading the Raiders in receiving yards at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Ford managed a new season-high in receiving on Sunday and has had decent games in back-to-back weeks now. That said, Ford is still establishing himself within the offense and cannot be counted upon for consistent production just yet heading into Week 7 against the Chiefs.
News: Oakland receiver Jacoby Ford is coming off his best game of the season entering the Week 6 contest against the Browns. Ford caught three passes for a season-high 36 yards Week 5 at Houston. That said, Ford has just six catches for 58 yards on the year and completely went without a catch Week 4 against New England. Ford has never faced the Cleveland Browns in his career.
Analysis: Ford could struggle against a Browns defense allowing the fourth-fewest Fantasy points per game against opposing wide receivers on the season. Cleveland has been awesome against WRs, having yet to allow a 100-yard game and having given up just two touchdowns to the position all year. We expect the Raiders to run the ball against the Browns and that is going to hurt Ford's Fantasy value. He's no better than a bye-week replacement option.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford caught three passes for 36 yards in Week 5 at Houston. He finished second on the team in pass targets with seven.
Analysis: Ford said during the week that he is not yet 100 percent after missing two games with a hamstring injury. The Raiders do not have a lot of fire power among their receivers and have room for players like Ford to step into a significant role. At the moment, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore have been the team's most targeted receivers. Ford should only be stashed in deeper formats in the hopes that he could move up in the pecking order as he gets healthier. He is not worth activating in Fantasy just yet.
News: The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Raiders WR Jacoby Ford admits that he is not yet 100 percent after missing two games with a hamstring injury. Ford was chased down from behind on a possible touchdown catch-and-run in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Patriots. I probably could have had another extra burst, but I didnt hit it all the way, Ford said. But I didnt feel anything either so that was a positive. So Im just going to take this week and still keep doing my rehab and practicing as well until Im fully, fully 100 percent.
Analysis: Raiders coach Hue Jackson said Tuesday night on his Sacramento radio show that Ford is pretty much up to speed. Now, we need to cut this guy loose. In Week 5, Ford will face a Texans pass defense that has allowed four touchdowns to opposing receivers through the first four weeks of the season. They rank 10th in the NFL against the pass, giving up just 214.2 passing yards per game in the first month of the season. Allow Ford to settle in and prove both healthy and productive again in Oakland's offense before trusting him as an active Fantasy player. Avoid him in most circumstances for Week 5.
News: After missing the last two games due to a hamstring injury, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford returned to action in Week 4 against the Patriots. He did not record a catch and had just one carry for 30 yards in the 31-19 loss. Ford, who was targeted twice by QB Jason Campbell, also had two kick returns for 45 yards in the defeat.
Analysis: Ford has just three catches for 22 yards in two games this season but Fantasy owners should have expected him to be a little rusty on Sunday. But with his speed and play-making ability, he should become a contributor again sooner rather than later. Keep an eye on his progress going forward and consider Ford as more of a low-end Fantasy WR or flex option for Week 5 against the Texans.
News: After missing the last two games due to a hamstring injury, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was active for Week 4 against the Patriots. New England enters Sunday ranked last in the NFL against the pass, giving up 377 yards per contest, and have allowed an average of 34 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Analysis: Ford was expected to return to action this week as has a pretty good matchup. The Patriots have a suspect secondary, so there is Fantasy points to be had. Although, you are a brave Fantasy owner for wanting to start Ford since he has been idle for a few weeks. Consider Ford a high-risk Fantasy sleeper for Week 4.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was limited in practice for the third straight day on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Patriots. He has missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury. New England enters Sunday ranked last in the NFL against the pass, giving up 377 yards per contest, and have allowed an average of 34 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Analysis: Ford is expected to return to action this week as has a pretty good matchup. The Patriots have a suspect secondary, so there is Fantasy points to be had. Although, you are a brave Fantasy owner for wanting to start Ford since he has been idle for a few weeks. If Ford returns Sunday, then he is nothing more than a high-risk Fantasy sleeper for Week 4.
News: After missing two games with a hamstring injury, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford appears to be on track to return for Sundays game against the Patriots. Ford practiced for the second straight day Thursday, and he took most of the kick return reps during special teams work early in practice. New England enters Week 4 ranked last in the NFL against the pass, giving up 377 yards per contest, and have allowed an average of 34 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Analysis: This is actually a pretty good week for Ford to return to action.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (hamstring) was back at practice on Wednesday. Ford, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, hopes to return in Week 4 against the Patriots. I definitely have hopes for this week. This is pretty much the goal that weve been shooting for," he said on Monday.
Analysis: The Raiders have been very successful offensively without Ford, but they have mostly gotten it done on the ground thanks to Darren McFadden. Ford should return to the starting lineup once healthy and be a factor on offense, but leave him out of starting Fantasy lineups until we see how he does coming off the injury.

News: As expected, Oakland WR Jacoby Ford was inactive for the team's Week 3 game against the Jets on Sunday. Ford was ruled out for the game on Friday after missing practice with a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Ford has amassed just 22 yards on three receptions this season and could be in danger of losing his starting position to emerging rookie WR Denarius Moore. Fantasy owners should continue to stash Ford in deeper leagues while checking his status for Week 4.
News: Starting WR Jacoby Ford (hamstring) missed practice again Friday and was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets. He hasn't practiced or played since being injured against Denver two weeks ago.
Analysis: Ford could be pushed out of the starting lineup by rookie Denarius Moore after Moore, a speed receiver like Ford, exploded for the Raiders last week. Then again, Oakland is thin on receiving talent and Ford could have a job by default when he's healthy. Fantasy owners should only hang on to Ford in deeper leagues; if there's someone healthier and active on waivers (such as Moore), then punt on Ford for the free-agent choice.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (hamstring) missed practice again Thursday and is likely to miss his second straight game Sunday against the Jets.
Analysis: While his teammates practiced, Ford jogged and worked out by himself on the sidelines. That qualifies as a step forward for Ford, who doubles as the teams top kick returner. The emergence of Denarius Moore in Week 2 against the Bills can allow the Raiders to be cautious with Ford, who became a breakout star late in 2010. The Raiders still expect him to play a big part in the passing game once he is healthy, but Ford might not be able to return for Week 3. Even if he is healthy, he is not a recommended Fantasy option with a tough matchup on the horizon.
News: WR Jacoby Ford (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday as the Raiders began preparing for Week 3's home opener against the Jets. Ford has not practiced or played since being injured in the season opener at Denver.
Analysis: The emergence of Denarius Moore in Week 2 against the Bills can allow the Raiders to be cautious with Ford, who became a breakout star late in 2010. The Raiders still expect him to play a big part in the passing game once he is healthy, but Ford might not be able to return for Week 3. Even if he is healthy, he is not a recommended Fantasy option with a tough matchup on the horizon.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (hamstring) was listed among the team's inactives for Week 2 at Buffalo. He had been ruled out on the injury report.
Analysis: With Darrius Heyward-Bey also inactive, Derek Hagan and Denarius Moore were left to do much of the heavy lifting. All things considered, the Raiders WR situation is to be avoided for now. Ford could have some respectable value as a bye-week replacement option once healthy. We'll continue to update you on his status during Week 3.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Buffalo with a hamstring injury. He missed practice all week and Chaz Schilens is expected to start in his absence in Week 2.
Analysis: Ford is such a big part of the Raiders' offense and special teams that letting his hamstring heal is probably the best move. He wasn't going to have much Fantasy appeal this week anyway, so continue to keep Ford stashed in Fantasy.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (hamstring) remained absent from practice Friday and hasn't practiced all week as Oakland prepares to play Buffalo in Week 2. Coach Hue Jackson said Thursday that there is "still a chance" Ford suits up Sunday, but it's looking like a game-time decision.
Analysis: The Raiders tried to get Ford involved in the offense in some creative ways during Week 1 against the Broncos, but his impact remains too small to make him worthy of starting in Fantasy at this time -- healthy or not. Although, the Raiders still have high hopes for Ford, so consider stashing him in deep formats.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was absent from practice for a second straight day Thursday because of a hamstring injury. Oakland will play Buffalo in Week 2, and coach Hue Jackson said Thursday that there is "still a chance" Ford suits up Sunday. The Bills did not allow a receiver to total more than 26 yards in Week 1 in Kansas City.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford is dealing with a hamstring issue going into Week 2 at Buffalo. He didn't practice on Wednesday and remains questionable for the game. The Bills did not allow a receiver to total more than 26 yards in Week 1 in Kansas City.
Analysis: Healthy or not, Ford is not a player we are ready to recommend as a viable starting option. We did notice the Raiders try to get Ford involved in the offense in some creative ways during Week 1, but his impact remains too small to make him worthy of starting in Fantasy. Ford was targeted just four times in Monday's opener against the Broncos, recording three catches for 22 yards. He's worth stashing, however.
News: Raiders coach Hue Jackson told reporters Tuesday that WR Jacoby Ford has a hamstring injury and he will further update his status on Wednesday, when the team returns to practice.
Analysis: Ford was targeted just four times in Monday's opener against the Broncos, recording three catches for 22 yards. The Raiders are expecting big things out of the second-year receiver in 2011, but he can't make things happen if he is injured. Ford was a weak Fantasy start heading into Week 2 against the Bills to begin with and this injury probably alerts Fantasy owners to look to healthier alternatives.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was not much of a factor in Week 1 against the Broncos. Ford finished with just three receptions for 22 yards in the 23-20 victory, with a long of 12 yards. He was targeted four times by QB Jason Campbell and also had one rush attempt, which went for minus-3 yards. Ford touched the ball a total of four times on offense and lost a fumble in the win.
Analysis: Head coach Hue Jackson said he was going and try to get the ball in Ford's hands as much as possible, but that obviously wasn't the case on Monday night. Fantasy owners should keep in mind that the Raiders are a bit challenged in the passing game and will look to Darren McFadden and the ground game to carry the offense. While there is no doubt Ford has big-time play-making ability, Fantasy owners are best to leave him on the bench until he becomes a bigger part of the team's offensive plans. Consider him merely a low-end No. 4 Fantasy WR heading into Week 2 against the Bills.
News: The Oakland Tribune reports that Raiders coach Hue Jackson is talking about using WR Jacoby Ford on punt returns and getting the ball into his hands often as possible. "If he can score touchdowns, I'm going to give it to him," Jackson said. "He likes the ball in his hands, we like to put it in his hands. We need to turn this guy loose." Ford is ready to go for Week 1 at Denver.
Analysis: We like what Jackson is saying, and hopefully Ford can play well against the Broncos. In two games against Denver last season, he caught five passes for 62 yards and also had three rushes for 100 yards with a touchdown. Consider Ford a solid No. 3 Fantasy WR for this matchup in Week 1.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford exceeded expectations last year after being drafted in the fourth round, but he expects to be even better this year. My intensity level is up, said Ford, who will start Week 1 against the Broncos on Monday night. My IQ of the game is a lot better than last year. I just feel more relaxed out there."
Analysis: Ford missed most of the preseason with a broken hand, but he was able to make it back for the preseason finale. The Raiders are expecting Ford to help stretch the field after he was a surprise offensive threat in the second half last season. It's just that Ford remains more of a Fantasy reserve heading into Week 1 against Denver until we see how much the Raiders intend to target him in the passing game. Ford had five catches for 62 yards in two games against Denver last season.
News: After missing the first three preseason games with a broken hand, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was back in action Friday in the exhibition finale against the Seahawks. He didn't play very long, but hauled in an early pass for 9 yards in his only target from QB Jason Campbell.
Analysis: Ford was expected to be ready to go for the season opener on Sept. 12, but it's always nice to get the re-assurance of seeing a player back on the field 10 days before he is really needed. Ford caught the ball without issue, and the injury did not effect his legs or speed, so we still like him as a late-round commodity. The Clemson product should be considered a sleeper in 2011.
News: Though he has practiced for nearly a week, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was held out of Sunday's preseason game against the Saints. He broke his hand early in camp and hasn't played in a game yet, but he has been able to run routes and catch passes of late.
Analysis: Ford is expected to be good to go for the regular season, but the team felt that sitting out one more game would not hurt. The dynamic WR/KR has lost a bit of Fantasy momentum since we haven't seen him play since January, but he remains a threat to score any time he touches the ball. Ford is expected to start in 2011, so he's still worth a late-round pick on Draft Day.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford returned to practice Monday after missing over two weeks of camp with a broken left hand. He has run routes and caught passes.
Analysis: The fact Ford is getting back to practice with a few weeks before the season opener is a good sign he is on target for Week 1. The Raiders have him listed as a starting WR and expect big things out of him in 2011. Still, Ford is more of a late-round Fantasy WR.
News: The Oakland Tribune reports that the Raiders' first depth chart shows Darrius Heyward-Bey and Jacoby Ford as starting wide receivers. Ford is missing time this preseason due to a broken left hand.
Analysis: Ford is aiming to return for Week 1, but will have to be monitored closely. The good news is that the Raiders are still considering him as a starter. Coach Hue Jackson initially said Ford would be out a couple of weeks and then later when pressed said he thought Ford would play in the opener Sept. 12 in Denver. A lot still has to go right for that to happen, but Ford looks to be a safe, viable pick in the later rounds of Fantasy drafts. Continue to monitor his progress.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford said his broken left hand is getting better every day as the swelling goes down. At least its not anything thats going to keep me out the whole year," he said. "I should be back the first game. Thats what Im aiming for. They havent said anything yet about when Ill be practicing. Hopefully Ill be running next week. Ford has been sidelined since breaking his left hand on Sunday.
Analysis: Ford is targeting the first game, which is all Fantasy owners need to hear. Yes he will be a bit rusty and behind the learning curve as far as game speed and level of play, but he made up for youth and inexperience a season ago with raw talent and speed, and those intangibles should remain. Keep an eye on his progress, but we still view Ford as a late-round pick on Draft Day with plenty of upside.
News: The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Raiders WR Jacoby Ford had the cast removed from his broken left hand on Tuesday. He said that he is feeling a lot better, and will push to be back in time for the season opener.
Analysis: Coach Hue Jackson initially said Ford would be out a couple of weeks and then later when pressed said he thought Ford would play in the opener Sept. 12 in Denver. A lot still has to go right for that to happen, but Ford looks to be a safe, viable pick in the later rounds of Fantasy drafts. Continue to monitor his progress.
News: Comcast Sportsnet reports that Raiders WR Jacoby Ford broke his left hand in Sunday's practice. The team didn't release further details on the matter, though he will be sidelined for the near future. "Jacoby Ford will be fine," coach Hur Jackson said after practice. "He'll be ready for the start of the season."
Analysis: Ford was expected to play a larger role in the offense to build off of his late-season surge as a rookie, so the injury surely will set him back. There is a chance he can still play in all 16 games, depending on the severity of where he broke the hand. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on reports as they come in on his condition. Ford is worth a late-round pick in most formats normally, so stay tuned.
News: Raiders head coach Hue Jackson told NFL Network that WR Jacoby Ford is a guy he expects to take the next step in 2011. Actually, Jackson said much more than that. "Obviously, Jacoby is going to become a household name, because he has some very special ability. He's very good with the ball in his hands -- he's very good without the ball in his hands -- because he draws a lot of attention. He's just scratching the surface of what he truly can be."
Analysis: We've spent a decent amount of time around Ford this offseason and know that he's worked hard with teammates, including QB Jason Campbell, on improving his game. We also know that Jackson absolutely covets Ford's speed and will find ways to unleash him during the season. We like Ford as a No. 4 Fantasy WR with upside. Plan on drafting him with a late-round pick, and hopefully he can build off what he accomplished as a rookie in 2010.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford is keeping busy this offseason. Ford said in an interview with CBSSports.com that he spent about two weeks working with QB Jason Campbell during players-only workout. "Most definitely it helped," Ford said. "Were getting our chemistry down and getting more comfortable with each other. Its working on timing and precision." Ford said he has a copy of Oakland's new playbook, and he called it "different" from last year. "Im still getting used to it, but Ill have it down by the time the season comes," Ford said. Aside from working with Campbell and his teammates, Ford also has been taking part in workouts with former NFL receiver Cris Carter and personal trainer Tony Villani in Delray Beach, Fla. Carter said Ford has work to do. "Jacobys not a wide receiver yet," said Carter, who is also an analyst for ESPN. "He has to stop working on his speed and start working on becoming a wide receiver. Thats what Ive been trying to tell him. He can run, but how much better has he got as a wide receiver. To me, you spend the greatest amount of time on your weakness. Right now, I dont know." Added Villani: "Thats Jacobys knock. And its not really a knock, its just his speed is the best in the NFL, so what is going to be his knock? Were trying to get Jacoby to play inside. If he can ever line up as an inside slot receiver like a Wes Welker and get those routes then I think he can be one of the best ever in the NFL. If Jacoby can ever get his craft down and be a better route runner at his speed, he can be one of the best ever."
Analysis: Ford played well as a rookie in 2010. Ford had 25 catches for 470 yards and two touchdowns and 10 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 53 kick returns for 1,280 yards and three touchdowns. Ford should be considered a sleeper in 2011 since the Raiders don't have a proven threat at wide receiver and need someone to help TE Zach Miller in the passing game. We like Ford as a No. 4 Fantasy WR with upside. Plan on drafting him with a late-round pick, and hopefully he can build off what he accomplished as a rookie in 2010.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford said in an interview with CBSSports.com that he's looking forward to 2011 after a quality rookie season in 2010. Last year, Ford had 25 catches for 470 yards and two touchdowns and 10 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 53 kick returns for 1,280 yards and three touchdowns. "It was a blessing," Ford said of 2010. "I was just glad to get out there and show what I can do as a true wide receiver and not just a return guy or a reverse guy. It was a lot of fun. My coach put me in great situations to make the plays that were needed. Im just looking forward to next year to build on it. .. . Im looking forward to it. I want to pick up where I left off and keep getting better each year."
Analysis: Ford should be considered a sleeper in 2011 since the Raiders don't have a proven threat at wide receiver and need someone to help TE Zach Miller in the passing game. We like Ford as a No. 4 Fantasy WR with upside. Plan on drafting him with a late-round pick, and hopefully, as he said, he can build off what he accomplished as a rookie in 2010.
News: Raiders rookie WR Jacoby Ford had another quality game in Week 17 in the season-finale at Kansas City on Sunday. Ford had two carries for 22 yards and a touchdown and one catch for 35 yards. He also added two kickoff returns for 26 yards. Ford finished the season with 25 catches for 470 yards and two touchdowns and 10 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 53 kick returns for 1,280 yards and three touchdowns.
Analysis: Ford wasn't a consistent Fantasy option all season, but he did play well at times, including the game with the Chiefs on Sunday. Ford has a bright future with the Raiders based on his speed, and we consider him worthy of a late-round pick in the majority of leagues, especially in formats that reward points for special teams.
News: The Raiders visit the Chiefs in Week 17, and WR Jacoby Ford will be remembering his superb effort against Kansas City from earlier this season. In that game, the rookie made six catches for 148 yards and returned a kick for a touchdown in a 23-20 overtime win.
Analysis: Ford has come on strong in the second half of this season and is a threat to score whenever he sees the field. Even if the Chiefs don't rest their starters on Sunday, Ford is still a viable Fantasy option in leagues that reward return yardage.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford did not waste any time in Week 16 against the Colts. He took the opening kickoff of the game 99 yards for the score to give his team the early 7-0 lead. It was his third kickoff return for a score, a franchise single-season record. That would be the highlight of Ford's day as he finished with just two catches for 21 yards in the 31-26 loss. He was targeted four times by QB Jason Campbell and also recorded 188 yards on kick returns.
Analysis: Ford continues to impress on a weekly basis and now has six total touchdowns on the year. He has two receiving, one rushing and his three on kick returns. While his production in the passing game as been inconsistent, he is a threat to score anytime he is on the field and the Raiders have found clever ways of getting him the ball. Ford has scored four touchdowns over his last five games and could be in for another solid performance next week against the Chiefs. When the division foes met earlier in the year, the rookie had six catches for 148 yards and also returned a kickoff for the score. Ford continues to find a way to produce so consider using him as a flex option in deeper Fantasy leagues for Week 17.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford enters Week 16 against the Colts with three touchdowns in his last four games and will be looking to continue that trend. Indianapolis ranks 11th in the league against the pass, allowing 209.5 yards per contest, and have given up an average of 17.1 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Analysis: Ford has come alive of late and can score in any phase of the game. He has a touchdown receiving, rushing and on special teams and the Raiders have done a solid job of getting him involved in the offense. Although he is not the most refined pass catcher, he has come on strong over the last few weeks to increase his Fantasy value. Heading into Week 16 against the Colts, considering using Ford as a flex option in deeper formats.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford got things started for his team in Week 15 against the Broncos. On Oakland's first play from scrimmage he took a reverse 71-yards for a touchdown, his first career rushing score. Ford also caught three passes for 47 yards and returned five kickoffs for 102 yards in the 39-23 win. He was targeted five times by QB Jason Campbell and averaged 15.7 yards per catch.
Analysis: After having his two-game touchdown streak broken a week ago, Ford got back on the board in Week 15 and now has five touchdowns in his rookie year. His speed is undeniable and the Raiders have done a solid job of getting him the ball in spots where he can make a play. Although he is not the most refined pass catcher, he has come on strong over the last few weeks to increase his Fantasy value. Heading into Week 16 against the Colts, considering using Ford as a flex option in deeper formats.
News: After having his two-game touchdown streak broken a week ago, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will look to start a new one in Week 15 against the Broncos. Denver ranks 19th in the league in pass defense, allowing nearly 227 yards per contest, and have given up an average of 20.5 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts. When the division foes met earlier in the year, Ford had just two catches for 15 yards with another 29 on two carries.
Analysis: After four solid weeks of production, Ford came back down to earth in his last outing and could see fewer passes thrown his way now that WR Louis Murphy and TE Zach Miller have gotten back on track. He is an electric playmaker but he is still learning on the job in terms of becoming a receiver in the NFL. As a starter he retains value in deeper formats but Fantasy owners in a majority of leagues would be wise to stay away from Ford against the Broncos. Consider the rookie a low-end Fantasy WR for Week 15 but be sure to keep him active in leagues that reward return yardage.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford, who entered the game on a two-week touchdown streak, didn't come close to scoring in Week 14 at Jacksonville. Ford had a rush that went backward for minus-2 yards and caught two passes for 43 yards. He also lost a fumble. Ford was targeted five times in the game.
Analysis: The big-play receiver saw Louis Murphy regain a prominent role in the offense as well as tight end Zach Miller re-emerge. Ford should be limited to the deeper leagues including dynasy/keeper formats. He's not a reliable option heading into a matchup vs. Denver in Week 15.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford has scored in two straight games and has totaled 13 catches for 287 yards since landing more playing time. This week he'll fly across the country and take on a Jaguars pass defense that's allowed 22 passing touchdowns on the season including 15 to wide receivers. But this woeful defense has actually improved vs. the pass over the last three weeks, allowing only Mario Manningham to find the end zone against them in that span. Additionally, they've yielded only five 100-yard games all season.
Analysis: Ford has some upside that's worth considering thanks to his speed and recent play, and it helps that he'll be motivated to play in Florida (he grew up in West Palm Beach), but he's too risky to trust as anything more than a low-end No. 3 WR in the deepest of standard leagues. If special-teams yardage counts, then he's a must, but otherwise you should be able to find better starting options on your roster or on waivers. He's not bad to hang on to in deeper leagues, though.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford only had one reception in Week 13 against the Chargers, but it was a big one. He caught a 4-yard touchdown strike from QB Jason Campbell in the first quarter after a DB Michael Huff interception. He also ran the ball once for 3 yards and returned three kickoffs for 52 yards in the 28-13 win. Ford, who was targeted three times on Sunday, has two touchdown grabs in as many games.
Analysis: Ford has come alive of late and has shown his play-making ability over the last three games. While he only has two touchdown catches, he has returned two kickoffs for scores and has become a starter in Oakland. Fantasy owners should not be worried about his targets in Week 13 as the Raiders went to the running game early and often in the convincing win. Ford's stock has steadily risen over the last few weeks and he could be in for another solid game in Week 14 against the Jaguars. Jacksonville entered Sunday ranked 28th in the league against the pass. Ford is not a solid option in Fantasy just yet but he should be considered a low-end Fantasy WR or flex option for Week 14.
News: Coming off his best performance of the year, Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will face off against a tough passing defense in the Chargers in Week 13. San Diego ranks second in the league against the pass, allowing 192.5 yards per game, and have given up just 13.4 Fantasy points to opposing wideouts. When the division foes met in Week 5, Ford gained 91 yards on five returns.
Analysis: Ford has caught 12 passes for 283 yards and one touchdown in his last three games and has been an electric kick returner while emerging as a wideout. He has been one of the most-targeted players for Oakland in recent weeks. It took him a little while to get going but he has showed some big-play ability and could be able to make an impact on special teams in Week 13. Ford, who has returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, isn't a high-end option in Fantasy play just yet, but his stock has been steadily rising. Consider Ford a low-end Fantasy WR or flex option for Sunday's game against San Diego.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford had his best statistical game of the season in Week 12 against the Dolphins. Ford got things started by taking the opening kickoff and rumbling 101 yards for a touchdown to give Oakland a quick 7-0 lead. He then got things going on the offensive side of the ball, posting his second 100-yard receiving performance of the season. Ford was targeted 10 times in the 33-17 loss and finished with four receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown. He was on the receiving end of a Bruce Gradkowski 44-yard pass in which he used his speed to blow past DB Benny Sapp on a double move down the sideline. He also finished with a team-high 13 yards rushing on a single carry and racked up 208 yards on seven kickoff returns. Ford finished with 12 total touches for 329 yards and two touchdowns.
Analysis: Ford continues to establish himself as a major part of the Raiders offense and one of the best games of his young career on Sunday. His 10 targets were a tied with Darren McFadden for most on the team and he averaged an impressive 27 yards per reception. His speed gives him the ability to blow past most defenders and Oakland will continue to look for ways to get the ball into his hands when they travel to San Diego in Week 13. The Chargers have been very good at defending the pass this season, so Ford might have a hard time duplicating his success next week. Consider him a low-end No. 3 Fantasy WR heading into Week 13.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford will be looking to get back on track in Week 12 against the Dolphins. Ford had just two receptions for 27 yards in last Sunday's 35-3 loss to the Steelers. The Dolphins enter Week 12 ranked 10th in pass defense, allowing 196.8 passing yards a game. Miami has surrendered 13 touchdowns through the air this season and is allowing an average of 18.2 Fantasy points to opposing WRs on the year.
Analysis: Ford caught the attention of Fantasy owners two weeks ago when he posted breakout six-reception, 148-yard performance against the Chiefs. Even though he only had two catches in Week 11 against the Steelers, Ford led the Raiders in targets and yards per receptions. Oakland will likely continue to try and find ways to get the ball into his hands, so Ford could develop into a nice sleeper option the rest of the season. Consider him a No. 4 Fantasy WR against the Dolphins on Sunday.
News: Oakland rookie receiver Jacoby Ford did not fare nearly as well in Week 11 as he did in his last game for the Raiders. Facing the devastating Steelers defense, Ford could only make two receptions for 27 yards in the game, one game removed from making six grabs for 148 yards against Kansas City. That said, Oakland quarterbacks Bruce Gradkowski and Jason Campbell did still target Ford a team-high eight times in the game.
Analysis: Ford may have struggled in the Week 11 loss but two things stand out: He led the team in targets and in yards per reception. Oakland is going to continue to look his way and he could be a nice sleeper for the rest of the season. The Raiders play Miami in Week 12 and Ford could be a nice option in deeper leagues if you want to take a flier on him.
News: Raiders rookie WR Jacoby Ford, who had a breakout six-catch, 148-yard performance in the team's last game Week 9 against the Chiefs will aim for a follow-up performance Week 11 at Pittsburgh. He'll be facing a Steelers defense that has allowed 272.6 passing yards per game since Week 6, sixth-most in the league, but with WR Louis Murphy returning from a bruised lung and Zach Miller expected to return from a foot injury, he'll have more competition.
Analysis: The Steelers have allowed 21.0 Fantasy points per game to wide receivers, 12th-most in the league, but they're still an aggressive defense that could cause problems for an inexperienced quarterback like Jason Campbell. Coach Tom Cable has said he wants to get Ford more involved in the offense, but he's still the third receiver on a run-first team. Better leave him for deeper Fantasy leagues.
News: Raiders rookie WR Jacoby Ford's role has to continue to grow, in the wake of his big game against Kansas City, coach Tom Cable said. This is a prove-it league, and certainly hes proving it," said Cable, who added the offense could use more three-receiver sets in the future.
Analysis: The Raiders are on a bye in Week 10 before returning to action in Week 11 against the Steelers. That's certainly a tough matchup for Ford to repeat his 148-yard performance from Week 9, especially if Louis Murphy and Zach Miller return from their injury woes. But it is clear that the Raiders want to use Ford's speed on offense, so he might not be a bad flier in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Rookie WR Jacoby Ford had been little-used in Oakland's offense entering Week 9 but he had the best game of anyone on the field against Kansas City. With WR Louis Murphy and TE Zach Miller both injured, Ford led the Raiders in both receptions and receiving yards with six catches for 148, and also had a kick return for a touchdown in the 23-20 overtime win. He took the opening kick of the second half 94 yards for a score, his first career touchdown. He also had a long reception that set up the game-tying field goal and a 47-yard grab that set up K Sebastian Janikowski's game-winning field goal. Ford finished with nine targets from QB Jason Campbell and 158 return yards in the victory. "It's something I've been wanting to do ever since I was little," Ford said. "I went out there, and it was a dream come true to be out there having fun making plays with those guys."
Analysis: Ford entered Week 9 with just four catches for 37 yards through the first eight games. But with Murphy and Miller out with injures, he stepped up big and helped lead Oakland to the come-from-behind win. Ford was a speedster in college and showed flashed of his kick-return ability earlier in the year but he put it all together for a breakout performance on Sunday. With the Raiders on a bye next week, Fantasy owners should stay tuned for the health of their receiving core. He will not see as many passes thrown his way once Murphy and Miller return, but expect his role in the offense to improve now that he has shown he is capable of big things. Ford still holds value in formats that reward return yardage but could probably start being picked up in deeper leagues for Week 11 against the Steelers.
News: Oakland WR Jacoby Ford got the start in Week 8 as Louis Murphy was sidelined for the Raiders. Ford left the game a few times as he was dealing with dehydration. He was targeted three times by Jason Campbell, catching two passes for 22 yards. He also had one carry for 11 yards.
Analysis: Ford will likely resume his role as a kick returner when Murphy is 100 percent, which hurts his Fantasy value. Despite the good play by Oakland and having a favorable matchup in Week 9, Ford should not be on too many owner's radars heading into next week. If Murphy is out an extended period of time, Ford may be worth using in deeper formats, but he is a long shot to make plays on offense.
News: Raiders rookie WR Jacoby Ford has been taking the majority of snaps with the first-team tis week and he will make his first NFL start in Week 8 against the Seahawks. "It's really no different for me preparing," Ford said Thursday. "I just have to go out there and make some plays when my number's called. I know all of (the positions) really well, so I'm pretty much comfortable in every single position."
Analysis: Ford totaled two catches for 15 yards and two carries for 29 yards in Week 7, but most of it came after Oakland got out to a huge lead. Even then, those numbers aren't really impressive from a Fantasy standpoint. Ford is a speedy player and could be an impact player down the road. But we aren't sure he will be a breakout player as soon as Week 8. He is merely a potential Fantasy sleeper in deeper formats for Week 8, if Murphy is out.
News: Raiders rookie WR Jacoby Ford took most of the first-team snaps in place of injured starter Louis Murphy during the walk-through part of practice Wednesday afternoon. If Murphy cant play Week 8 against Seattle, Ford looks like the likely starter. He played a ton of snaps when Darrius (Heyward-Bey) went out (Week 7) and it wasnt too big for him," coach Tom Cable said. "He got better as the game went along. So Im excited about being able to count on him where he can help this team now."

News: Raiders rookie WR Jacoby Ford saw extensive action against Denver in Week 7 after starting WR Darrius Heyward-Bey made an early exit because of illness, and he could have an expanded role Week 8 against the Seahawks if starting WR Louis Murphy (chest) cant play. He played a ton of snaps when Darrius (Heyward-Bey) went out and it wasnt too big for him," coach Tom Cable said. "He got better as the game went along. So Im excited about being able to count on him where he can help this team now."

News: Oakland WR Jacoby Ford fooled Denver on an end-around in Week 7 as he scampered for 23 yards. He finished the day with two carries and 29 yards. He was targeted three times, making two catches for 15 yards in Oakland's 59-14 stomping of Denver.
Analysis: This was Ford's best game of the season and it still isn't enough to garner much Fantasy attention. With Seattle coming to town in Week 8, Ford won't be a player of interests for Fantasy owners. Continue to ignore him in all leagues.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford had a forgettable game in Week 6 against the 49ers. He returned three kicks for 40 yards but did not catch a pass in the 17-9 loss. He was targeted two times by QB Jason Campbell, and had one hit him right between the numbers but the ball bounced into the hands of LB Takeo Spikes for a turnover.
Analysis: Ford has yet to catch a pass this season and mainly sees time on special teams. He has blazing speed but it has not produced much Fantasy points thus far. Ford can be left on the waiver wire heading into Week 7 against the Broncos.
News: Raiders WR Jacoby Ford was a non-factor in Week 4 against the Texans. Ford had just one carry for 8 yards and did not catch a pass in the 31-24 defeat. Ford did return three kickoffs for 85 yards.
Analysis: Ford is a talented rookie who has been used mostly on special teams. He is not a big part of the Raiders offense and can be left on the waiver wire heading into Week 5.
News: The Raiders have signed rookie WR Jacoby Ford, their fourth-round pick in the draft. The Raiders announced a deal Monday for Ford, the sixth of Oakland's nine draft picks to agree to terms. Ford starred in football and track at Clemson. He was the fastest receiver at the most recent NFL Combine, clocking a 4.28-second 40-yard dash. The Raiders have always loved speedy receivers under Al Davis' ownership. They traded veteran LB Kirk Morrison to acquire an extra fourth-round pick from Jacksonville to draft Ford, who is expected to return kicks in Oakland. Ford caught 56 passes for 779 yards and six touchdowns last season at Clemson. He also ran for two touchdowns and averaged 14.3 yards per punt return.
Analysis: Ford is expected to see more time on special teams than at WR for the Raiders in 2010. He has minimal Fantasy value in standard leagues and is not worth drafting in the majority of formats. If anything, draft Ford with a late-round pick in deep rookie-only leagues.
News: The Raiders drafted WR Jacoby Ford in the fourth round of the NFL Draft at No. 108 overall. Ford, from Clemson, is another speed receiver for the Raiders. He ran a 4.28 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, and he will likely see time on special teams as a return man.
Analysis: Ford fits the mold of a typical Raiders receiver -- fast and questionable hands. His best value will be on special teams, and he has minimal Fantasy value this year. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
