(10/2/2011) Washington DL Stephen Bowen had a nice game on Sunday of Week 4 at St. Louis. Bowen helped the Redskins earn a win as he recorded 1.5 sacks in the game against QB Sam Bradford. Bowen recorded five total tackles in the contest.
Bowen signs big deal with 'Skins
(7/28/2011)The Sports Xchange reported Thursday that the Redskins have agreed to a five-year deal with former Cowboy DE Stephen Bowen. The $27.5 million contract includes $12.5 in guaranteed money, and he is expected to start right away in the team's 3-4 scheme at defensive end. Bowen had 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Cowboys in 2010 in his first season as a starter.

He posted a career-high 28 tackles last season, with two tackles for loss and nine quarterback pressures. He joined the club as an undrafted free agent in 2006, making the practice squad before moving up to the active roster that November. He has played in 34 games over three seasons.
