(11/2/2014) All nine Steelers players listed as probable to play in Week 9 are active for Sunday's game against the Ravens, including tight ends Heath Miller (not injury related) and Matt Spaeth (hamstring).

Also active for the Steelers are tackle Marcus Gilbert (concussion), defensive linemen Brett Keisel (not injury related) and Steve McLendon (shoulder), linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee) and safeties Troy Polamalu (not injury related), Mike Mitchell (groin) and Shamarko Thomas (hamstring).

Ike Taylor (forearm) and Ross Ventrone (hamstring) were both ruled out.

Marcus Gilbert (concussion), Mike Mitchell (groin), Ryan Shazier (knee), Matt Spaeth (hamstring), Shamarko Thomas (hamstring), Brett Keisel (rest), Heath Miller (rest) and Troy Polamalu (rest) were all deemed probable for Sunday.

Backup Mike Adams played well in Gilbert's absence but will return to the bench, coach Mike Tomlin confirmed.

The other players on their injury report submitted Friday are probable. They are wide receivers Martavis Bryant (illness) and Markus Wheaton (groin), linebacker James Harrison (illness), guard Ramon Foster (ankle) and tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle).

All five players were listed as probable on the team's injury report entering the game. Both Gilbert and DeCastro are dealing with ankle injuries.

(11/15/2013) The Steelers list 10 players on their Friday injury report, but six are probable. The only player ruled out for the Sunday game against Detroit is safety Shamarko Thomas (ankle).

Designated as doubtful is linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf) while defensive end Brett Keisel (foot) and guard Ramon Foster (ankle) are questionable.

Five of the probables are offensive linemen. They are Fernando Velasco (knee), Marcus Gilbert (ankle), David DeCastro (ankle), Kelvin Beachum (hip) and Mike Adams (ribs). Tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) is also probable.

(11/8/2013) The Steelers are healthy everywhere but along the offensive line as they prepare to host Buffalo on Sunday.

Mike Adams was added to the injury report Friday after being sidelined from practice with a rib injury with fellow tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) was limited. Both have been deemed questionable for the game. If neither plays, Guy Whimper will assume a starting role.

(11/3/2013) Steelers offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert downplayed the severity of his ankle injury after the game Week 9 against the Patriots.

Gilbert said he was "rolled up on [his] bad ankle," but added that he would be fine. Gilbert left the game in the fourth quarter, and wasn't able to return. The team will take on the Bills Week 10. Whether Gilbert plays will likely be determined by how much he's able to practice during the upcoming week.

Gilbert suffered the injury in the fourth quarter after being rolled from behind during a pass by Ben Roethlisberger. He was unable to return for the remainder of the game.
