News: Saints coach Sean Payton said Wednesday seventh-round pick DE Greg Romeus has been placed on IR after spending all of the regular season on the PUP list. Romeus tore his ACL while at Pittsburgh one year ago and the Saints drafted Romeus knowing the DE would spend most of this season rehabbing the injury.
Analysis: Romeus was a stellar defensive end at Pitt but this injury has set him back a bit. He will not have any value in Fantasy until he gets back on the field so continue to ignore him in all IDP formats.
News: Saints DE Greg Romeus was placed on the team's NFI list on Saturday.
Analysis: Romeus isn't expected to be a factor in Fantasy in the first place.
News: In addition to first-round pick Cameron Jordan and third-round pick Martez Wilson, the Saints drafted the following players in April: Louisville CB Johnny Patrick (Round 3), Pitt DE Greg Romeus (Round 7) and Illinois LB Nate Bussey (Round 7).
Analysis: None of these three players are expected to help the Saints defense in 2011, and all three are fairly buried on the depth chart. They'll all get most of their work on special teams. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters since their production won't be especially high anytime soon.
