Broncos re-sign four defenders

(4/22/2014) The Broncos announced the re-signing of restricted free agent defensive tackle Mitch Unrein and the re-signing of three exclusive rights free agents: cornerback Tony Carter, safety Duke Ihenacho and linebacker Brandon Marshall

Of the group, Ihenacho contributed the most in 2013, starting 14 games and totaling 72 tackles, most of any Broncos defensive back. 


Broncos' probables suit up for Super Bowl

(2/2/2014) Several Broncos who were listed as probable on the injury report are active for the Super Bowl, including cornerbacks Tony Carter (shoulder) and Kayvon Webster (thumb), defensive tackles Terrance Knighton (knee) and Mitch Unrein (knee) and kicker Matt Prater (illness). All were able to practice fully last week.

Two out, two limited Friday for Broncos

(1/24/2014) A knee injury that prevented Broncos defensive lineman Mitch Unrein from practicing Thursday had him limited on Friday. Also limited was running back Knowshon Moreno (rib).

Placekicker Matt Prater (illness) and defensive lineman Sione Fua (calf) were out.

Probables dominate Broncos injury report

(10/25/2013) Seven Broncos have been designated as probable for Sunday against Washington. Included are offensive stalwarts such as quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle) and wideouts Wes Welker (ankle) and Eric Decker (toe).

Also among them are defensive linemen Mitch Unrein (groin), Shaun Phillips (hamstring) and Robert Ayers (shoulder), linebacker Wesley Woodyard (neck) and tight end Joel Dreessen (knee).

Cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) is out while offensive linemen Chris Kuper and Orlando Franklin are questionable with ankle injuries.


Danny Trevathan, Mitch Unrein ruled active for Week 5

(10/6/2013) The Broncos officially ruled linebacker Danny Trevathan and defensive lineman Mitch Unrein active despite both nursing injuries. 

Trevathan was carted off a cart with a knee injury in practice earlier this week. Unrein had been nursing a neck injury.

(10/4/2013) The Broncos are quite healthy heading into their Sunday game against Dallas. Only cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) and linebacker Paris Lenon (thigh) have been designated as questionable.

The rest on their injured list are probable. They include wide receiver Eric Decker (shoulder/ankle), tight end Joel Dreessen (knee), guard Chris Kuper (ankle), placekicker Matt Prater (right calf), center Manny Ramirez (rib), linebacker Danny Trevathan (knee) and defensive tackle Mitch Unrein (neck).
