News: The Titans continued trimming their roster Friday in preparation for the regular season and released the following players: wide receivers Michael Preston, James Kirkendoll, D.J. Woods and Devin Aguilar; running back Collin Mooney; defensive backs Chris Hawkins and Tracy Wilson; defensive lineman Malcolm Sheppard; and tight ends Cameron Graham and Brandon Barden.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.
News: With C Eugene Amano going on IR, the Titans added DT Malcolm Sheppard to the roster from the Texans' practice squad.
Analysis: Sheppard, a rookie, has played in one game this season. He had 9 1/2 sacks and 35 1/2 tackles for loss in 38 starts in college at Arkansas. Until he starts playing like that in the NFL, then there is no need to bother with Sheppard in Fantasy.
