Giants' Rueben Randle paces secondary targets in Week 12

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/24/2014) Giants wide receiver Rueben Randle caught all three of his targets for 36 yards in his team's 31-28 loss to the Cowboys in Week 12.

Eli Manning was locked in on rookie Odell Beckham (10 catches, 146 yards, two TDs) and running back Rashad Jennings (eight catches, 68 yards), and Randle was one of the quarterback's six other targeted receivers to split 11 catches. Tight end Daniel Fells also secured three receptions for 35 yards, while tight end Larry Donnell managed just two receptions for 24 yards. Wide receiver Preston Parker caught one of his three targets for 16 yards, while tight end Adrien Robinson caught his only target for a one-yard touchdown.

Randle, Parker and the team's TE corps should continue to play a complementary role behind Beckham moving forward. The Giants will take on the Jaguars in Week 13.

Giants WR Preston Parker breaks out Week 10

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/9/2014) Giants wideout Preston Parker turned in a breakout game Week 10 against the Seahawks.

Parker hauled in seven balls for 79 yards. Both figures were a season-high for Parker. He got things started off early, catching a 6 yard touchdown from Eli Manning for the team's first score of the day. Parker didn't stop there, and seemed to be a consistent threat throughout the game.

He'll look to reproduce his numbers Week 11 against the 49ers.

The team released its final injury report Friday and the only players deemed questionable for Week 10 were Cullen Jenkins (calf), Mathias Kiwanuka (knee) and Zack Bowman (abdomen).

The following players were ruled probable: Weston Richburg (ankle), Adam Snyder (knee), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (back), Steve Weatherford (ankle) and Preston Parker (ankle).

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/4/2014) Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Tuesday wide receiver Preston Parker rolled his ankle during Monday's loss against the Colts. Coughlin didn't seem too indicate it was a serious injury, but Parker's status is still up in the air for Week 10.

Preston Parker sprains foot in MNF loss

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/4/2014) Giants wideout Preston Parker wore a walking boot on his left foot following Monday's loss to the Colts. He told reporters he sprained his foot during the 40-24 loss.

Parker was targeted six times but caught just one for 7 yards, as he and Eli Manning had repeated miscommunication. Parker's status for Week 10 at Seattle is uncertain.

Giants backup pass catchers do little Week 7

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(10/19/2014) The Giants backup pass catchers did little Week 7 against the Cowboys.

Rueben Randle had a decent game. He caught six passes for 74 yards. He was overshadowed in the red zone by teammate Odell Beckham Jr. during the contest. Randle did receive a team-high nine targets.

Daniel Fells only caught one pass, but made it count. In the second quarter, Fells grabbed a 27 yard touchdown from Eli Manning. Preston Parker caught two passes, gaining 19 yards.

All three players are on a bye Week 8.

Giants begin task of replacing WR Victor Cruz

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2014) How do the Giants replace Victor Cruz? Quarterback Eli Manning said the team must move on and figure out its best lineups without Cruz, who tore his patella tendon Sunday night at Philadelphia.

"What are going to be our best formations? What are going to be our best ways of putting people in position to do what they do best that will help out the team?" Manning told the team's website. "We have to be smart and creative with that and make sure guys, when they are on the field, are going to be able to play fast and know exactly what they are doing."

Coach Tom Coughlin called Cruz "a very, very, positive and popular young man who has meant an awful lot to this franchise. Just by virtue of his work ethic and the fact that he is a Pro Bowl playmaker. It is another test for the team. I was going to say the offensive side of the ball, but really for our team."

Cruz ranked third on the team with 23 catches for 337 yards and a touchdown. The website said Rueben Randle unofficially becomes the No. 1 receiver with rookie Odell Beckham Jr., Preston Parker and untested Corey Washington also helping fill the void.

"I think Preston Parker has demonstrated he can play inside, and he can play outside," Coughlin said. "The issue with Preston Parker has been the ball security issue, but as far as his learning multiple positions, he has done that. Corey Washington has played basically on the outside and has done a pretty good job of learning. He practices throughout the week with multiple reps, whatever day it might be. Even in a two-minute drill, he takes reps. He has had multiple opportunities to work."

Giants get offensive contributions

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2014) The Giants got several minor contributions in their Week 6 loss at Philadelphia. Backup running back Peyton Hillis carried five times for 24 yards and caught three of five targets for 28 yards. Tight end Daniel Fells caught two passes for 40 yards but lost a fumble, while tight end Adrien Robinson had a 29-yard catch on two targets.

Wideout Preston Parker had a 6-yard catch.

(9/26/2014) The Giants backup pass catchers made an impact Thursday against Washington.

The group will take on the Falcons Week 5.

Preston Parker is Giants' new No. 3 receiver

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/17/2014) With Jerrel Jernigan (foot) done for the season, Preston Parker is the Giants' new No. 3 receiver, coach Tom Coughlin told the New York Post. However, Coughlin said all five Giants receivers will get their opportunities.

Parker made a 29-yard catch in the Week 2 loss to the Cardinals.
