Cowboys unveil lengthy injury report for Colts game

(12/19/2014) The Cowboys have listed 11 players on its final injury report for Sunday's game against Indianapolis. Defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf, personal) and outside linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) were ruled out for the game. Tackle Doug Free (ankle) is doubtful, and guard Zack Martin (ankle) and running back DeMarco Murray (hand) are questionable.

Meanwhile, the following players were labeled probable: Strong safety Jeff Heath (thumb), middle linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), defensive back Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), quarterback Tony Romo (back), defensive end George Selvie (thumb) and quarterback Brandon Weeden (personal).

(12/14/2014) The Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 15 game against the Eagles: defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf), linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring), quarterback Dustin Vaughan, tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins, defensive end Kenneth Boatright and defensive back Jakar Hamilton.

Heath was doubtful to play Sunday while Watson had previously been ruled out. The team will have all seven players listed as probable active, including quarterback Tony Romo (back), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), cornerback Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), safety Jeff Heath (thumb) and defensive ends Demarcus Lawrence (chest), Jeremy Mincey (not injury related) and George Selvie (thumb).

Romo was listed with a back injury, but was able to practice in full on both Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Josh Brent, Tyrone Crawford, Doug Free, Nick Hayden, Rolando McClain and Terrance Williams were also listed as probable, and should play.

The team did not list any players as questionable, though Jeff Heath was listed as doubtful.

Jack Crawford, Tyler Patmon and Dekoda Watson were all ruled out prior to Thursday.

Watson has been a significant contributor to the Buccaneers and Jaguars over the past four seasons, but was waived by the latter Tuesday.

(11/13/2014) Looking to add depth to its linebacker unit, the Cowboys are on the verge of signing LB Dekoda Watson, according to Fox Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo.

Watson was waived by the Jaguars Tuesday after signing a three-year, $6.25 million contract in the offseason. Watson has played in 69 games during his five-year career, totaling 120 tackles and three sacks.

(10/30/2014) While the Jaguars were pleased with how J.T. Thomas performed at middle linebacker Week 8 against the Dolphins, coach Gus Bradley is considering making a change to the linebacker corps because rookie Jeremiah George is making a strong impression on the coaching staff. 

"We’re looking at the linebacker spot, what’s our best three on the field?" Bradley said, per The Florida Times-Union. "We know J.T. played well. [Otto] Dekoda Watson played pretty well. Jeremiah George is showing up a little bit in practice, so a chance to see him in there and throw him into the mix. We’re trying to find a way to see as of right now, what gives us our best opportunity and what guys are playing the best on the field."

Watson projects to start at strong-side linebacker after recording 42 tackles, two sacks, an interception and a forced fumble in 15 games with Tampa Bay last year.
