(4/2/2014) Free agent offensive tackle Jason Fox visited the Dolphins, reports the Palm Beach Post. Fox, who spent his first four seasons with the Lions, would be signed for depth and not as a starter, the report said.

Lions 'very comfortable' with right tackles on roster

(3/2/2014) With Jason Fox headed to free agency, Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said he'd feel "very comfortable with LaAdrian Waddle and Corey Hilliard as his right tackles in 2014. Waddle started eight games last year after going undrafted out of Texas Tech.

“They both played really good football for us last year," Mayhew told the team's website of Waddle and Hilliard.

The website notes the Lions have more pressing needs at receiver and in the secondary.

Fairley has been dealing with a shoulder injury, but was able to practice on a limited basis Friday. Broyles will remain out while trying to recover from an ACL injury. Leshoure is once again a healthy scratch.

(8/27/2013) The Lions coaches have yet to make a decision who will start at right tackle in the season opener against the Vikings, but it appears Jason Fox is the front-runner over Corey Hilliard and rookie LaAdrian Waddle, per The Detroit News.

"I think there are still possibilities there," coach Jim Schwartz said. "It’s coming into focus over the course of training camp. There could still be something that could change our minds. It’s important to finish strong and finish the way we started. It’s starting to come in. All of our positions are starting to come into focus, but none of them are cemented yet."
