Also suiting up are defensive tackle Josh Boyd (knee), defensive tackle Mike Daniels (back), guard T.J. Lang (ankle), linebacker Nick Perry (shoulder), guard Josh Sitton (toe) and guard Lane Taylor (illness).

(12/6/2014) Packers cornerback Sam Shields was officially ruled as questionable for Monday night's game against the Falcons because of a concussion. Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Saturday that the medical staff informed him that Shields still has a chance to play. He'll likely need to be medically cleared by the staff prior to kickoff.

Shields could prove an ideal match at that position with Browns Pro Bowl corner Joe Haden. If the Packers can't sign him long-term they would need to pony up for a franchise tag contract of $11 million to keep him for another season.

(2/26/2014) The Packers have more than $34 million in projected cap space, sixth-most in the league, reports ESPN.com. That will enable Green Bay to slap the franchise tag on cornerback Sam Shields if the sides can't agree on a contract.

The deadline for teams to use the tag is Monday. The Packers could put the tag on Shields for about $11 million, then continue negotiating without fear he'd leave via free agency.
