(12/15/2014) Titans tight end Brett Brackett suffered a knee injury during Sunday's win over the Jets, according to the Tennessean. Ken Whisenhunt was uncertain of the extent of Brackett's injury, per the report.

Brackett has no receptions this season. His status for Thursday's game against Jacksonville remains uncertain.


Titans preparing TE options in case Delanie Walker sits out

(11/14/2014) The Titans remain hopeful that tight end Delanie Walker will play Monday night against the Steelers. Walker is working his way back from a concussion and has yet to be medically cleared to play.

If Walker is unable to suit up for Week 11, the team will likely rely on Chase Coffman, Richard Gordon and Brett Brackett, according to the Tennessean. All three have combined for only two receptions this season.

"Chase showed in the preseason … what he's been able to do in the passing game," offensive coordinator Jason Michael said. "The other two guys are able to help us in the run game. That (tight end) position has grown, so you have to do a little of everything – a little running back, a little offensive tackle and a little receiver."

(11/4/2014) The Seahawks announced several roster moves on Tuesday, per the team's official website. The team will keep defensive back Eric Pinkins (foot) on the reserve/non-football injury list for the remainder of the season.

Seattle waived tight end Brett Brackett and wide receiver Chris Matthews from the practice squad and signed tight end Tony Moeaki and wide receiver Bryan Walters to the 53-man roster. The team also added safety Dion Bailey and wide receiver Jalen Saunders to the practice squad.

Brett Brackett has groin surgery

(6/13/2013) The Associated Press reports that Jaguars tight end Brett Brackett will be sidelined until training camp following groin surgery.

Coach Gus Bradley says Brackett had surgery Tuesday after getting a second opinion on his injured groin. Bradley adds that Brackett should be ready for camp, which starts July 26.

A second-year player from Penn State, Brackett is competing for a roster spot in Jacksonville. The Jaguars claimed Brackett off waivers from Philadelphia early last season, but he injured his knee during his first practice and spent the rest of the year on injured reserve.

Brackett, originally signed by Miami as an undrafted rookie in 2011, has not played in a regular-season game.
