News: Miami DL Jared Odrick had three tackles and a sack during the Dolphins' 35-8 victory over Buffalo in Week 11. Odrcik took down Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to register a sack in his third consecutive game. He now has four sacks this season.
Analysis: Odrick played just one game last season before landing on injured reserve. But he has been effective during his second NFL campaign and is showing the form that made him a first-round draft pick. Consider him a possible addition in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Dolphins DL Jared Odrick totaled his second sack in his last three games in Week 9 at Kansas City.
Analysis: Injuries have marred Odrick's young career. However, seeing him total two sacks in his last three games is progress. Still, he is not a reliable Fantasy DL because he has just 11 tackles in eight games.
News: The Dolphins placed rookie DE Jared Odrick on injured reserve with a foot injury.
Analysis: Odrick worked with the first team from the start of training camp but has been sidelined since he sustained a slight leg fracture in the season opener. He also broke his right leg in 2007 and missed the rest of that season with Penn State. Sparano declined to reveal details about the nature of Odrick's latest injury. The lineman, taken with the 28th pick in the April draft, has one tackle this year. "He's a heck of a player," Sparano said. "He's a guy we certainly could have used. That being said, there are guys who have stepped up and done a nice job." Drop Odrick outside of all long-term Fantasy keeper leagues.
News: Miami Dolphins first-round draft pick Jared Odrick is hurt again, and the latest injury might sideline him the rest of the season. "He's done for a long time," coach Tony Sparano said Thursday. Odrick was on the verge of returning from a broken right leg when he hurt his left foot at the end of practice Wednesday. The Dolphins haven't decided whether to put the rookie defensive end on injured reserve, which would end his season. "We'll see," Sparano said. "Right now we're going to sit tight for a little while." Odrick's absence has meant more playing time for Tony McDaniel and Paul Soliai in the defensive line.

News: NFL Network is reporting Dolphins DL Jared Odrick (ankle) re-injured himself and he could be out for the season. He was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday, but he did not finish practice because of the injury. Odrick was hurt in the season opener against the Bills, when a player rolled into his leg. The original timetable was 4-6 weeks.
Analysis: Odrick, the Dolphins first-round pick this year, recorded one tackle in his only game action and now it is likely he will be done for the year. He remains more of a long-term Fantasy keeper, especially if placed on IR. We will keep you posted.
News: Dolphins DL Jared Odrick (ankle) was listed among the inactives again for Week 6 at Green Bay. The rookie has been out since hurting himself in Week 1.
Analysis: Odrick, the Dolphins first-round pick this year, recorded one tackle in his only game action but could be able to return in Week 7. He remains more of a long-term Fantasy keeper but could be a nice option in deeper IDP formats if he is able to come back and produce.
News: Dolphins DL Jared Odrick (ankle), who missed the previous three games, was listed as questionable for Week 6 against the Packers. He was injured in the season opener at Buffalo.

News:Jared Odrick is unsure how he broke his leg, and he's unsure when he'll be back in the lineup. The Miami Dolphins' rookie defensive end wore a cast Wednesday from just below his right knee to his toes. He was hurt in the season opener Sunday at Buffalo. "It was not clear-cut what happened," Odrick said. "There were a bunch of guys in one area. I think somebody fell on it." On Tuesday, a person familiar with the injury said Odrick is expected to miss one or two games. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Dolphins generally don't discuss injuries. "We're just taking it week to week," said Odrick, the team's first-round draft pick. "I'm not going to rush it, but at the same I'm not going to milk it, because I want to get back. ... It's a matter of me dealing with the pain."
Analysis: Odrick has a metal plate in his leg because he broke it in October 2007 while playing for Penn State. That injury forced him to miss the rest of the season. He is not expected to end up on IR with this injury, but Odrick will miss some time. The first-round pick is a huge part of the Dolphins' future on defense, but he needs to establish himself as a top pass rusher in the NFL before we can jump on the Fantasy bandwagon. He remains more of a long-term Fantasy keeper.
News: NFL Network is reporting Dolphins DL Jared Odrick will miss six weeks with a broken right fibula. However, the Miami Herald has a contradictory report stating Odrick might only miss two weeks with a hairline fracture. A source told the Herald that Odrick's injury is not "serious." The 2010 first-round pick was injured in the third quarter of Sunday's season opener against the Bills.
Analysis: The Dolphins have big plans for Odrick this season, as evidence by making him a starter in his debut. However, this leg injury will now sideline him for at least two weeks. Odrick was nothing more than a low-end Fantasy DL to begin with, so drop him if you need Fantasy help. He is more of a long-term Fantasy keeper at this point.
News: The Miami Herald reports that Dolphins rookie DL Jared Odrick has a bone bruise in his right leg and is unlikely to play in Week 2 at Minnesota.
Analysis: Odrick made just one tackle in his first pro game, but the Miami defense looked good in stifling Buffalo and tackles aren't always the best number to gauge the impact of a player. Unfortunately, tackles are huge in Fantasy, so Odrick remains just a low-end option in deeper long-term keeper IDP formats.
News: Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said on Monday that he does not know whether LB Channing Crowder (groin) or DE Jared Odrick (right thigh bruise) will play this week at Minnesota. Crowder would likely be replaced by Tim Dobbins . If Odrick cant play Miami might move NT Randy Starks to DE and start NT Paul Soliai.
Analysis: Odrick made one tackle for loss before leaving in Week 1 at Buffalo, so didn't make a huge amount of Fantasy noise in his pro debut. His true value is still to be determined, so continue to keep him out of active lineups in Fantasy formats until further notice.
News: Dolphins rookie DE Jared Odrick suffered a deep bone bruise in his foot during the third quarter of Miami's Week 1 win at Buffalo.
Analysis: Odrick made one tackle for loss before leaving, so didn't make a huge amount of Fantasy noise in his pro debut. His true value is still TBD, so continue to ignore him in most IDP Fantasy formats for now. He might not miss much time with this injury, but we'll have to see.
News:Jared Odrick's agent says the Miami Dolphins' first-round draft pick has agreed to terms and will take part in the team's first training camp practice Friday. A defensive end from Penn State, Odrick agreed to a five-year deal worth $7.13 million guaranteed, and the package could be worth up to $13 million, agent Drew Rosenhaus said Thursday. Odrick is the front-runner for a starting job as a replacement for veteran Phillip Merling, who hurt his Achilles' tendon this month and will miss the entire season. The 6-foot-5, 304-pound Odrick was the Big Ten defensive player of the year in 2009, and the Dolphins made him the 28th pick in the draft.
Analysis: We expect Odrick to start for the Dolphins this year, but he has minimal Fantasy value in IDP leagues. As a DE in a 3-4 scheme, he could get his share of tackles but will do little else. He's better suited for rookie-only drafts with a mid-round pick.
News: The Dolphins selected Penn State DL Jared Odrick in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday. The 6-foot-5, 304-pound Odrick was selected with the 28th pick. It came after the Dolphins moved down 16 spots in the first round to acquire a second-round choice and reserve LB Tim Dobbins from the San Diego Chargers. Playing tackle in Penn State's 4-3 scheme, Odrick was the Big Ten defensive player of the year in 2009. He had 43 tackles and seven sacks, and Joe Paterno said Odrick was as good as any defensive tackle he had coached. Odrick said he can line up at either end or tackle in the Dolphins' 3-4 defense. The Dolphins are deeper at end than at tackle, where starter Jason Ferguson is 35 and will miss the first eight games of the season because of a suspension. GM Jeff Ireland was noncommittal about where the Dolphins expect Odrick to line up. "We think he can play both inside at outside," Ireland said. "This guy has a tremendous motor. He's a good inside pass rusher. He's very powerful, he's productive, he's explosive and he's versatile."
Analysis: Regardless of where Odrick plays, he should bolster a Dolphins defense in need of an upgrade. It's the first time since 1996 they used a first-round pick on the front seven. Odrick will likely be asked to take up space more than make plays for the Dolphins. He has minimal Fantasy value coming into the season and should not be drafted in the majority of IDP leagues.
