Philly takes out 16 players

News: The Eagles continued trimming their roster in preparation for the regular season Friday and released the following players: defensive backs Phillip Thomas, Joselio Hanson and Oshiomogho Atogwe; tight ends Emil Igwenagu, Chase Ford and Brett Brackett; linebackers Ryan Rau, Adrian Moten and Keenan Clayton; wide receivers Mardy Gilyard, Marvin McNutt and Chad Hall; and defensive linemen Ollie Ogbu, Landon Cohen, Monte Taylor and Frank Trotter.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.

Eagles make small trade with Colts

News: The Eagles have traded cornerback D.J. Johnson to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday for defensive tackle Ollie Ogbu in a deal involving two undrafted free agents. Johnson, who five interceptions during his senior season at Jackson State, has played 10 NFL games over two seasons (2009-10) with the New York Giants, making three tackles. He was on the Eagles practice squad for most of last season. Ogbu, who played at Penn State, was signed by the Colts right out of college last season and spent the season on their practice squad.
Analysis: Neither player will impact Fantasy owners. Keep them off rosters.
