Gabe Carimi resurfaces in Atlanta

(2/18/2014) The Falcons have signed former first-round pick Gabe Carimi to add depth to their offensive line. Carimi was originally drafted by the Bears when offensive line coach Mike Tice was with the team. Tice now serves in that same capacity with the Falcons. 

Buccaneers cut four players

(2/10/2014) The Buccaneers waived guard Gabe Carimi, quarterback Jordan Rodgers and running back Michael Hill and released defensive tackle Derek Landri. Carimi was a first-round pick by the Bears in 2011.

The moves saved the Bucs more than $2 million in cap room, according to Yahoo Sports.


Buccaneers getting healthy for Sunday's game

(10/13/2013) Tampa Bay had several players listed as probable to play in the Week 6 game at home against Philadelphia Sunday. All of those players are active for the Buccaneers.

They are as follows: T Gabe Carimi (illness); DB Mark Barron (hamstring); TE Tom Crabtree (ankle); DB Dashon Goldson (foot); DL Derek Landri (knee); and DL Steven Means (shoulder).

(10/11/2013) Buccaneers S Mark Barron, OL Gabe Carimi, S Dashon Goldson, DT Derek Landri, DE Steven Means, TE Tom Crabtree and CB Rashaan Melvin are all listed as probable against the Eagles. 

All eight players were able to fully participate in practices this week, so it looked as though they would be able to go Sunday.
