Rams get production from both tight ends in Week 2

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/14/2014) Rams tight ends Jared Cook and Lance Kendricks shared the load in the passing game against the Buccaneers in Week 2.

Both tight ends were targeted four times by backup Austin Davis. Cook finished as the team's second-leading receiver, catching all four of his targets for 46 yards. Kendricks was held to just one catch for a gain of 7 yards in the first half. He caught three of the four passes thrown his way for 25 yards in a 19-17 victory.

The Rams will be back at home to host the Cowboys in Week 3.

Lance Kendricks scores a TD in second exhibition game

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/16/2014) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks found the end zone during Saturday’s preseason game against the Packers.

Kendricks made a great snag in traffic for an 11-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He caught all two of the passes thrown his way for 15 yards and a touchdown.

Tight ends pace Rams in receiving

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) Tight ends Lance Kendricks and Jared Cook were the Rams' most effective pass-catchers in the Week 17 loss at Seattle. Kendricks caught five passes for a team-high 54 yards, while Cook made five grabs for 30 yards and the team's only touchdown.

Cook drew a team-high seven targets, one more than Kendricks. Cook caught a 2-yard score late in the fourth quarter, giving him five touchdowns. He finishes the year with 51 catches for 671 yards, disappointing numbers given his huge contract. Kendricks had 32 receptions for 258 yards and four scores.

Lance Kendricks nearly invisible in victory

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/22/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks was a total nonfactor in Week 16, in a 23-13 win over the Buccaneers. Kendrick brought in just one reception for 4 yards, and was targeted just once.

Kendricks has mostly been just a role player this season, though he does have four touchdowns. He enters Week 17 against the Seahawks with just 27 receptions for 204 yards.

Tight ends contribute touchdowns to Rams victory

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/15/2013) The Rams tight end duo of Cory Harkey and Lance Kendricks caught only five passes against New Orleans on Sunday. Yet they sure made the most of them.

Harkey actually recorded career-highs with three catches and 29 yards while Kendricks added two receptions for 13 yards. But they both scored touchdowns in the upset of the Saints.

The former tallied on a 31-yard pass just four minutes into the game to give his team a lead it never relinquished. Kendricks followed suit with a 4-yard score less than nine minutes later.

The pair will try to maintain momentum when the Rams host Tampa Bay in Week 16.

Rams tight ends struggle Week 14

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/8/2013) Rams tight ends Lance Kendricks and Cory Harkey struggled Week 14 against the Cardinals.

Kendricks caught one pass for 15 yards. He was targeted twice. Harkey also caught one pass, but only picked up 9 yards. It was his only target of the game. They'll take on the Saints Week 15.

Lance Kendricks fails to catch a pass

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/24/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks was targeted just once in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Bears, but failed to record a reception. It was the first time this season Kendricks did not catch a pass.

The Rams face the 49ers in Week 13. Kendricks was held to one catch for six yards when the teams met in Week 4, but he scored the first of his three 2013 touchdowns in that game.

Rams tight ends tough to predict

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/22/2013) Rams tight ends Lance Kendricks and Jared Cook both have three touchdowns on the season. While Cook has more receiving yards overall (428 to 172), Kendricks has the better recent performance (not counting his Week 10 inactivity) -- with three touchdowns in his last six games. Cook frontloaded his performance, scoring twice in Week 1 and then once in Week 9.

Over their last five games, Cook has one game of nine points and four with four points or fewer. Kendricks has one game with nine points, one with six, and three of two or fewer.  While Cook is the better bet in a PPR league, Kendricks actually isn't that far behind -- over their last five games played, Kendricks has seen 20 targets, while Cook has 23.

This all adds up to two risky tight end plays. Kendricks is more of a touchdown-dependent asset, while Cook is the player who frustrates you to no end -- you drop him and he has a 100-yard game; you then pick Cook back up and start him, and he has two catches for 21 yards in each of his next four. Then you drop him again and the process repeats itself.

Neither tight end is a suggested start in standard-sized Fantasy formats. But in a desperate situation, it might be wise to go with Cook and his potential over Kendricks and the hope for a touchdown.

Lance Kendricks 'should be fine' to play Week 12

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/20/2013) Rams coach Jeff Fisher expects tight end Lance Kendricks to return to the lineup Week 12 vs. Chicago after missing the team's last game before the bye with a fractured finger.

"He should be fine," Fisher said Wednesday.

Lance Kendricks to practice with cast

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/11/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks, who missed the Week 10 win at Indy with a fractured finger, will wear a cast in practice this week, coach Jeff Fisher said. St. Louis is on a bye before hosting Chicago in Week 12.

The Rams will practice Wednesday and Thursday, then take four days off.

Lance Kendricks sits due to hand injury

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/10/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks (hand) is inactive for Week 10 against the Colts, meaning Jared Cook should see a bigger role in the offense Sunday. Kendricks' absence does not come as a surprise, after he was listed doubtful on Friday's injury report.

Two Rams doubtful Week 10

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/8/2013) Rams QB Brady Quinn and TE Lance Kendricks are listed as doubtful Week 10 against the Colts.

Neither Quinn nor Kendricks were able to practice all week. Quinn is dealing with a hip issue, while Kendricks has a hand injury.

Lance Kendricks has fractured finger

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/4/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks has a fractured finger and could miss some time, coach Jeff Fisher told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Kendricks has 23 catches for 172 yards and three touchdowns.

Lance Kendricks does little in loss

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/3/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks was a non-factor in Week 9 against the Titans, a 28-21 loss. Kendricks was targeted four times in the passing game, hauling in three receptions for 13 yards.

Kendricks heads into Week 10 with 23 catches for 172 yards and three touchdowns on the season. The Rams next face the Colts.

Lance Kendricks risky play in Week 9

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/1/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks has followed up a three-game scoring streak by being held out of the end zone in consecutive games. He will try to turn things around in Week 9 against the Titans.

Kendricks' Fantasy value is almost entirely based on his ability to find the end zone; in his last five games, he has more than 30 yards or two receptions just once. Unfortunately, the Titans have done a decent job keeping opposing tight ends out of the end zone, allowing just four touchdowns on the season, and all in a three-week span ending in Week 4.

Kendricks is a risky play on a weekly basis for Fantasy owners, as he is essentially useless without touchdowns. Against a team that does a decent job keeping tight ends out of the end zone, Kendricks is just a low-end play for Week 9.

Lance Kendricks makes two catches

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10/29/2013) Rams No. 2 tight end Lance Kendricks caught two passes for 23 yards in the loss to the Seahawks. He was targeted five times, tied for second most on the team.

Kendricks faces the Titans in Week 9.

Lance Kendricks looking to start another streak

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10/23/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks caught a touchdown pass in three straight games before the Week 7 visit to Carolina. There he managed just two catches for 7 yards on three targets.

Kendricks still ranks second on the team with three receiving scores, one behind Austin Pettis. Although he's the No. 2 tight end behind Jared Cook, Kendrick's red-zone prowess has him ranked 20th this week by Senior Fantasy Writer Jamey Eisenberg.

In Week 8, Kendricks will have a hard time getting back in the end zone. The Seahawks have allowed only one tight end to score, Garrett Graham in Week 4. They give up the third-fewest Fantasy points to opposing tight ends (4.9 per game).

Keep Kendricks reserved Monday night.

Lance Kendricks does little in loss

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/20/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks saw his role in the passing offense nearly disappear in Week 7 against the Panthers, in a 30-15 loss.

Kendricks was targeted three times in the game, bringing in two receptions for 7 yards in the loss, as his scoring streak ended at three games.

Kendricks will try to get back on track in Week 8 against the Seahawks.

Lance Kendricks scores yet again

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks continues to be Sam Bradford's favorite red zone target, as he scored for the third straight game in a 38-13 win over the Texans in Week 6.

Kendricks was targeted just two times in the passing game, bringing in just the one pass for 2 yards and a score. He now has three touchdowns on the season, all in the last three games.

Kendricks doesn't get a ton of work, but he keeps getting looks in the red zone. St. Louis faces the Panthers in Week 7.

Rams tight ends risky for Fantasy purposes

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/11/2013) The Rams tight end situation has been unkind to Fantasy owners, as Lance Kendricks has begun to steal some of Jared Cook's rapidly vanishing spotlight. Given the team's unwillingness to feature one or the other, it is hard to recommend either in Week 6 against the Texans.

The Texans are coming off their first poor performance against a tight end, as Vernon Davis racked up 14 Fantasy points and a touchdown. Even with that, however, they have allowed just two touchdowns and 6.4 Fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends on the season.

At this point, neither Cook nor Kendricks falls into any of our experts' top-20 for tight ends this week. Consider them Cook a slightly better option, but neither should be started with much confidence in Week 6.

Lance Kendricks overshadowing Jared Cook

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(10/6/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks was easily more involved than Jared Cook in Sunday's Week 5 win over Jacksonville. Kendricks had four catches and scored in the game while Cook finished with just three grabs for Sam Bradford and the Rams.

Kendricks scored on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Bradford in the second quarter. It was a nice catch followed by some nifty moves and a dive head first into the corner of the end zone. He finished with four receptions for 37 yards and the score and was targeted six times in the game.

Cook caught three balls for 26 yards and was targeted just the three times in the game. The tight end went for 10 catches, 141 yards and two touchdowns Week 1, but hasn't scored or done much of anything since.

Kendricks, 25, has now scored a touchdown in back-to-back games for Bradford. The Rams play at Houston Week 6.

Lance Kendricks scores on lone catch

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/27/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks continued to take a backseat to Jared Cook in Week 4 against the 49ers, but he made his one catch count in a 35-11 loss.

Kendricks scored his first touchdown of the season on a 6-yard pass from Sam Bradford, the Rams' lone touchdown in the game. It was the only pass thrown Kendricks' way in the game.

Kendricks has 11 receptions for 90 yards through four games. The Rams' next game is set for Week 5 against the Jaguars.

Lance Kendricks has 36 yards, all in fourth quarter

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/22/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks caught five passes for 36 yards in Sunday's 31-7 loss to the Cowboys. Kendricks had all of his production in the fourth quarter, when the Rams were employing a hurry-up offense and playing catch-up.

Kendricks was targeted five times, and now has 84 receiving yards on the season. The 36 yards are the eighth-most of any game in Kendricks' career.

The Rams face the 49ers Week 4, in the Thursday night game.

Lance Kendricks makes a couple more grabs

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/15/2013) On three targets, Rams tight end Lance Kendricks had a modest two catches for 23 yards Week 2 at Atlanta. Though it was a step back from his three-catch, 25-yard performance in Week 1, it was better than starting tight end Jared Cook's one catch for 10 yards. Cook was targeted six times, though.

Kendricks will likely continue to play a minimal role in the passing game Week 3 at Dallas.

Lance Kendricks makes three catches

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/8/2013) Rams tight end Lance Kendricks, who is taking a backseat to Jared Cook this year, still made a nice contribution Sunday with three catches for 25 yards. Kendricks was targeted four times.

Kendricks visit the Falcons in Week 2.
