News: Buccaneers tight end Luke Stocker, who entered the game with only 115 receiving yards all season, put up a season-high 50 Week 17 at Atlanta. The majority came on a 26-yard catch early in the second quarter. He had a total of three catches on three targets.
Analysis: All three of Stocker's catches came in the first half, so despite the decent production, he still wasn't a consistent part of the passing game. He's primarily a blocker on the Buccaneers' offense, so chances are his contributions in 2013 will be as insignificant as they were in 2012. You can ignore him in next year's draft.
News: Tampa Bay tight end Luke Stocker recorded his first career touchdown reception on Sunday of Week 3 at Dallas. Stocker scored the game's first points as he hauled in a 1-yard pass from quarterback Josh Freeman in the first quarter, just four minutes into the game. Stocker was targeted three times in the game but that was his only catch.
Analysis: Stocker has double-digit catches for his career, but Sunday was his first NFL touchdown. We doubt he's headed for many more, however. Fantasy owners do not all of a sudden have to care about Stocker in most leagues heading into Week 4 against Washington.
News: Buccaneers TE Luke Stocker was activated for Week 7 against the Bears in London after being listed as questionable on the injury report with a knee injury. He finished the game with two catches for 14 yards.
Analysis: Stocker was targeted just three times in a game where the Bucs threw the ball 51 times. He remains too erratic of an option to trust in Fantasy. Leave him on waivers in all formats.
News:Luke Stocker is listed as questionable for Week 7 after practicing in full all week. The Bucs play vs. the Bears in London.
Analysis: The tight end might see some time on the field but isn't considered a reliable Fantasy option at this point.
News: Tampa Bay TE Luke Stocker (knee) will miss his second straight game when he was ruled out for Week 6 against New Orleans. Stocker, who also missed the team's Week 5 outing against San Francisco, was unable to practice at all during the past week.
Analysis: Stocker has collected just four receptions for 22 yards in four games this season as he's played behind starting TE Kellen Winslow. He is considered week to week with his injury, but his Fantasy value was not considered worthwhile anyway. Leave him on waivers for now.
News: Tampa Bay TE Luke Stocker was ruled out for Week 5 against San Francisco because of a troublesome knee injury. Stocker, who did not practice all week, has registered four receptions for only 22 yards in four games this season.
Analysis: Stocker is considered week to week with the injury, but his absence is not a huge loss to Fantasy owners. The 23-year-old has not exceeded more than two catches in a game while serving as the backup to Kellen Winslow. He should remain on waivers in all Fantasy formats.
News: Rookie TE Luke Stocker, a fourth-round pick who had started to make significant contributions, wasn't at the beginning of Thursday's workout. Stocker missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury and looks doubtful for Sunday.
Analysis: Stocker has four catches for 22 yards on the season but will continue to see few passes thrown his way as long as Kellen Winslow is healthy. Continue to ignore him in the majority of Fantasy leagues, healthy or not.
News: Buccaneers TE Luke Stocker doubled his reception total for the season in Week 4 against the Colts. He caught two passes for 9 yards in the 24-17 win.
Analysis: Stocker now has four catches for 22 yards on the season but will continue to see few passes thrown his way as long as Kellen Winslow is healthy. Continue to ignore him in the majority of Fantasy leagues.
News: With TE Kellen Winslow unable to practice this week due to his knee injury, TE Luke Stocker could see some extra snaps this season. Stocker has caught three passes for 50 yards through the first three games of the season. Indianapolis enters Monday night's contest ranked 18th in pass defense, allowing 251.7 yards per game. The Colts have given up three touchdowns through the air this far and surrendered an average of eight Fantasy points to opposing TEs on the season.
Analysis: Stocker hasn't played much this season and that trend is likely to continue if Winslow plays on Monday. However, if he doesn't, Stocker could be the one who sees the majority of the snaps in his absence. Fantasy owners should continue and monitor Winlow's health moving forward. However, even if Stocker does see more snaps, he should only be considered a desperation play in Winslow's absence.
News: Tampa Bay rookie TE Luke Stocker, who has been dealing with a hip injury, was able to play in Saturday's preseason game against Miami. He had one catch for 8 yards.
Analysis: It's a good sign that Stocker was able to play against the Dolphins, but he has minimal Fantasy value. Ignore him in all standard leagues on Draft Day, and he is only worth drafting with a late-round pick in rookie formats.
News: Tampa Bay rookie TE Luke Stocker will be sidelined at least two weeks because of a right hip injury. The fourth-round selection from Tennessee said Saturday that his status is "week to week." He jammed the hip during the first day of training camp Friday. Bucs coach Raheem Morris expects Stocker to be out a minimum of two weeks. "It's the hand you get dealt and I have to play it now," Stocker said.
Analysis: Stocker was considered one the top tight ends in the last NFL Draft and Tampa Bay advanced its positioning to select the promising 23-year-old. He has tremendous versatility as receiver and a down-field defender and was the only player with Tennessee last year to finish with at least one reception. He likely won't be utilized too much behind Kellen Winslow, and should be left unselected in all upcoming Fantasy drafts.
News: Bucs rookie TE Luke Stocker was on crutches Saturday at the team's training camp practice. Stocker said he jammed his hip on Friday after getting twisted up and is week-to-week, per the St. Petersburg Times. "It's a crappy hand you got dealt, and I've got to play it now," Stocker said. " ... It's one of those things, just get some weight off of it, and take it a week at a time and see if we can get it back feeling right."
Analysis: Stocker already missed working with coaches all offseason because of the lockout. Now this hip problem will delay his progress even more. Stocker should be drafted in dynasty/keeper leagues only with a late-round pick and rookie-only drafts with a mid-round choice.
News: The Buccaneers moved up in the fourth round of the NFL draft to select Tennessee tight end Luke Stocker. The 6-foot-5, 253-pound tight end had 39 receptions for 417 yards and two touchdowns at Tennessee last season.
Analysis: Stocker's versatile -- he can catch very well, he can block decently. He's a lot like Jason Witten was when he came out and joined the Cowboys. Stocker's ceiling isn't quite as high, especially since he'll be behind Kellen Winslow in the Bucs' pecking order, but if the Bucs have a hard time fielding receivers then Stocker could find more playing time. We'd pass on him in seasonal drafts but take him late in dynasty/keeper leagues and rookie-only drafts.
