by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/16/2013) Buccaneers tight end Luke Stocker did play in Friday's preseason game against the Patriots, but he failed to make any sort of impact in the game.

Stocker, who missed the team's opener with a calf injury, was a non-factor in the game, as he was not even targeted in the passing game once. Stocker is battling with Tom Crabtree for the starting tight end spot.

TE Luke Stocker limited in practice, but that's progress

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/7/2013) Third-year tight end Luke Stocker, Tampa Bay's projected starter, missed nearly two weeks of practice with a calf injury he suffered at the start of camp. He got off the PUP list and has practiced on a limited basis the past two days.

“This is absolutely my shot, without a doubt," Stocker told the team's website. "They’re handing it to me and saying ‘It’s yours, you’ve got to take it and you’ve got to run with it.’ That’s why this injury has been so frustrating. It’s one of those things, they keep telling me, 'Be patient, be patient with it,’ because it’s soft-tissue muscle. You’ve got to be patient and let it heal on its own.”

Of those players, only Stocker and Koenen figure to be key contributors this season.

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
