Buccaneers' Lavonte David among questionables for Bucs Sunday

(12/5/2014) The Buccaneers released their final Week 14 injury report and the following players are listed as questionable: Anthony Collins, Clinton McDonald, Brandon Myers, Bobby Rainey, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Lavonte David and Mason Foster.

Major Wright, Evan Dietrich-Smith, Luke Stocker and Crezdon Butler are listed as probable. The Bucaneers take on the Lions Week 14.


Buccaneers missing four players at Thursday's practice

(12/4/2014) The Buccaneers were without running back Bobby Rainey, tight ends Austin-Seferian Jenkins and Brandon Myers and defensive tackle Clinton McDonald at Thursday's practice

Rainey injured his ankle in Week 13's loss to the Bengals and also missed practice on Wednesday. Seferian-Jenkins (back) and McDonald (hamstring) both missed Week 13. 

Lavonte David (hamstring) and Luke Stocker (concussion) both practiced

The Bucs take on the Lions in Week 14.

(12/3/2014) Buccaneers tight end Luke Stocker, who sat out Week 13 with a concussion, said he has passed the league's protocol and is set to return to practice, reports the Tampa Bay Times. He has four catches for 29 yards this season.

Six questionable Buccaneers sidelined Sunday

(11/30/2014) Six of the seven Buccaneers designated as questionable for he Sunday game against the Bengals have been ruled out. They are linebacker Lavonte David (hamstring), center Evan Dietrich-Smith (illness), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring) and tight ends Brandon Myers (calf), Luke Stocker (concussion) and Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back).

The lone exception is safety Major Wright (shoulder), who has been given the green light.

(11/28/2014) The Buccaneers listed 10 players on its final injury report for Sunday's contest against Cincinnati. Defensive end Da'Quan Bowers (knee), safety Dashon Goldson (illness) and running back Charles Sims (ankle) were the only three players deemed probable.

Meanwhile, the following seven players were labeled as questionable for Week 13: Linebacker Lavonte David (hamstring), center Evan Dietrich-Smith (illness), defensive tackle Clinton McDonald (hamstring), tight end Brandon Myers (calf), tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back), tight end Luke Stocker (concussion) and safety Major Wright (shoulder).


Bucs backup pass catchers contribute little Week 12

(11/23/2014) The Buccaneers backup pass catchers didn't do much Week 12 against the Bears.

Tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins hauled in two catches, gaining 16 yards. Brandon Myers caught one ball for 9 yards. Luke Stocker also had one catch, but gained just 6 yards.

They'll look for more Week 13 against the Bengals.

Josh McCown (back), Gerald McCoy (groin), Anthony Collins (foot) and Demar Dotson (neck) were labeled probable.

(11/7/2014) The Buccaneers unveiled a lengthy injury report for Week 10 vs. Atlanta. Doug Martin is among the most notable players on the list. He was labeled doubtful for Sunday's game with an ankle injury. Alterraun Verner (hamstring) and Anthony Collins (foot) were the only other players deemed doubtful.

The following players were ruled questionable: Lavonte David (knee), Vincent Jackson (foot), Michael Johnson (hand), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (thumb), Charles Sims (ankle), Akeem Spence (hamstring) and Luke Stocker (hip).


Bucs backups do little in blowout

(9/19/2014) The Buccaneers backups did little in a 56-14 blowout against the Falcons.

Mike James managed to pick up some carries, gaining 4 yards during the contest. He did not factor into the passing game. 

Tight end Brandon Myers wound up hauling in five passes for 33 yards. Luke Stocker caught two passes for 15 yards. Robert Herron made one catch for 5 yards. Mike James also caught a pass, but it went for -5 yards. 

They'll take on the Steelers Week 4.

(9/7/2014) Buccaneers backup tight end Luke Stocker wasn't a factor in Week 1 against Carolina. He caught a short pass down the middle from Josh McCown for a gain of 8 yards. It was his only touch and target in his team's 20-14 defeat.

Stocker, who missed the team's opener with a calf injury, was a non-factor in the game, as he was not even targeted in the passing game once. Stocker is battling with Tom Crabtree for the starting tight end spot.

(8/7/2013) Third-year tight end Luke Stocker, Tampa Bay's projected starter, missed nearly two weeks of practice with a calf injury he suffered at the start of camp. He got off the PUP list and has practiced on a limited basis the past two days.

“This is absolutely my shot, without a doubt," Stocker told the team's website. "They’re handing it to me and saying ‘It’s yours, you’ve got to take it and you’ve got to run with it.’ That’s why this injury has been so frustrating. It’s one of those things, they keep telling me, 'Be patient, be patient with it,’ because it’s soft-tissue muscle. You’ve got to be patient and let it heal on its own.”

Buccaneers make some roster tweaks

(7/24/2013) The Buccaneers announced a series of moves on Wednesday, the most significant of which being the placement of kicker Connor Barth on the reserve/NFI list. Barth hurt his Achilles in a charity basketball game and will be replaced by Lawrence Tynes on the roster. 

Also the Buccaneers signed guard Jeremy Lewis, put running back Jeff Demps on the reserve/Did Not Report list, listed punter Michael Koenen on the active/NFI list and posted tight end Luke Stocker and defensive end Markus White on the active/PUP list. Of those players, only Stocker and Koenen figure to be key contributors this season.

(7/16/2013) The Buccaneers are expected to go with Luke Stocker as the starting tight end this season, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

The report says Stocker already knows the offense, he's the highest draft pick in the group and he has ability. But tight end is not a position that is featured in offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan's scheme. Dallas Clark was only targeted 76 times and caught 47 passes last season.
