News: The 49ers and cornerback Perrish Cox agreed to a two-year deal. Cox was released by the Broncos last September and was acquitted of sexual assault charges in Colorado on March 2. He said his legal trouble changed him for the better. "It was a nervous and scary situation for me," Cox said. "I take full responsibility for my actions. I just want everyone who was involved in [the case] to move on with their lives."
Analysis: Cox will strengthen the 49ers secondary but shouldn't be expected to put up relevant Fantasy stats. If he does, get him off of waivers.
News: Broncos CB Perrish Cox has pleaded not guilty to sexual assault charges that carry a maximum punishment of life in prison. He appeared Monday in Castle Rock, which is in suburban Douglas County south of Denver. His attorney entered Cox's plea during the hearing. The judge set an Oct. 18 trial date. Cox is charged with one count of sexual assault while the victim was physically helpless and one count of sexual assault while the victim was incapable of determining the nature of the conduct. Court documents say the alleged assault happened on Sept. 6. He was arrested Dec. 9 and is free on bond. Details of the charges remain under seal at the request of prosecutors and Cox's defense attorney, which is being contested by the media.
Analysis: Continue to monitor what happens with Cox this offseason, but heading into the 2011 season he has minimal Fantasy value. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: Denver CB Perrish Cox had seven tackles and forced a fumble in the Broncos' 33-28 loss to San Diego in Week 17. Cox, who is facing sexual assault charges which carry a possible sentence of life in prison, also defended two passes as Denver held Chargers QB Philip Rivers to a 56.8 completion percentage in Sunday's game.
Analysis: Cox finished a decent rookie season despite being slapped with the charges prior to Week 15. He totaled 59 tackles and two forced fumbles in his first season out of Oklahoma State this year. Keep an eye on his legal troubles in the offseason before targeting him in Fantasy IDP leagues for 2011.
News: Denver Broncos rookie cornerback Perrish Cox faces up to life in prison if convicted of sexual assault charges filed by prosecutors last week. A portion of the case unsealed by a Douglas County judge Tuesday shows the sexual assault charges are Class 3 and Class 4 felonies, which carry a sentence of between two years to life in prison. They involve a helpless victim. Other details of the case remain sealed. Cox, who played in the Broncos' loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, is free on $50,000 bail. The district attorney's office has declined to comment on the charges. Cox defense attorney Vince Buckmelter did not immediately return a message left at his office. In addition to a lengthy prison sentence if convicted, Cox could also face 10 years to life of probation.
Analysis: Cox could face a four-game suspension from the NFL next season for violating the league's personal conduct code. Commissioner Roger Goodell doesn't need for a player to be convicted to punish him. For now, however, Cox remains active for the Broncos. Cox is having a pretty productive rookie season, but he is still more of a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy.
News: Broncos rookie CB Perrish Cox traveled to Phoenix with his teammates heading into the Week 14 game against the Cardinals, but his playing status Sunday remains undecided following his arrest for investigation of sexual assault. A team spokesman said no decision had been made Saturday night about whether Cox would play Sunday. He's listed as questionable, meaning there's a 50-50 chance.
Analysis: Cox has 10 passes defensed this season with an interception and 45 total tackles, making him a very low-end Fantasy option in the deepest of IDP leagues. Chances are his playing time will dwindle in the near future. He's not worth owning in Fantasy play.
News: Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox was arrested Thursday night on sexual assault charges according to the Denver Post. "We are aware of the reports and are currently in the process of gathering information and reviewing the facts," said Broncos media relations director Patrick Smyth."We are taking this matter very seriously and are fully cooperating with every aspect of the process."

News: Shortly after playing in Oakland's 59-14 rout of Denver on Sunday, Broncos rookie cornerback Perrish Cox went home and watched the contest again. Not to learn what went wrong. Just to remember what took place after a blow to the head completely wiped out his memory of the game. Cox suffered a head injury in the third quarter and couldn't recall any of the details from the lopsided loss. He clearly remembers the night before and then coming to in the trainer's room. In between, nothing. "I woke up and asked what the score was and they told me, 'A lot to a little,"' Cox told the Associated Press on Tuesday. "That was kind of shocking to me -- I don't remember nothing."
Analysis: Cox showed up Tuesday wearing dark shades to shield his eyes from the bright lights in the locker room. Cox said he has never had a concussion before, and used to wonder what all the fuss was about. With his head pounding, he now understands. Cox hasn't been officially ruled out for when the Broncos (2-5) travel to London to face the San Francisco 49ers (1-6) in Week 8. He didn't practice Tuesday, but arrived at the facility so he doesn't fall too far behind in preparations -- just in case. He still has to pass the NFL-mandated post-concussion test before he can play. Cox is merely a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy.
News: Denver DB Perrish Cox left the Broncos game against the Raiders on Sunday. He was injured on a catch by Oakland FB Marcel Reece, as Cox and Raiders WR Louis Murphy were both hurt on the play. Cox was taken to the locker room with a head injury and his return was questionable.
Analysis: Cox had 24 tackles and one interception heading into Week 7. Denver has a banged up secondary, and they can't afford any more injuries. Monitor his status heading into Week 8 as Denver travels to San Francisco. Cox should only be an option in the deepest of Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Broncos DB Perrish Cox received treatment on his right leg on Monday, one day after helping fill in as a defensive starter against the Seahawks. Cox said he got banged up on special teams but that he is OK.
Analysis: Cox may start against the Colts, depending on the rehab progress made by DBs Champ Bailey and Andre' Goodman. His inexperience could get the ball thrown his way often in Week 3, but we wouldn't recommend taking a chance on him outside of the deepest of IDP formats in a pinch.
News: The Broncos have signed CB Perrish Cox, their fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma State. The 23-year-old Cox led the country with 19 pass breakups and turned in a career-high four interceptions last season for Oklahoma State.
Analysis: Cox will compete for playing time on defense for the Broncos and will likely see time on special teams. He is not worth drafting in the majority of IDP leagues this season.
News: The Broncos drafted CB Perrish Cox in the fifth round of the NFL Draft at No. 137 overall. Cox played at Oklahoma State and can also return kicks. He finished his college career with four kickoff returns for touchdowns and two punt returns for touchdowns. He also had 10 career interceptions on defense.
Analysis: Cox will likely see more time on special teams than in the defensive backfield for the Broncos. He is not worth drafting in the majority of IDP leagues this season.
