Shoulder knocks out Lewis

News: Kansas City defensive back Kendrick Lewis left in the first half of Week 12 against Denver with a shoulder injury and was questionable to return. He matched the team lead with five tackles before departing and now has 18 total stops on the season. Travis Daniels took over for him Sunday.
Analysis: Lewis also hurt his right shoulder during a preseason game against St. Louis and missed the first part of the regular season. He is not expected to be a major Fantasy contributor regardless of his health status and should be left on waivers in all formats for now.

Lewis hurts his knee

News: Chiefs safety Kendrick Lewis injured his knee in the first half of Week 13's game against the Bears. He did make five tackles in the contest.
Analysis: Lewis has racked up 44 tackles and three interceptions this season, giving him some value in deeper IDP formats. Keep tabs on his progress before setting lineups in those formats for Week 14.

Lewis again big in turnover department

News: Chiefs safety Kendrick Lewis had a big game on Monday night against the Chargers. In a game that went into overtime, Lewis came up with a fumble recovery and an interception. The safety finished with just one tackle, but he was huge in the turnover department for Kansas City.
Analysis: Lewis is up to three interceptions on the season after Monday night's pick. In fact, Lewis is coming off returning an interception for a touchdown last week in Oakland. Lewis is becoming quite the defensive playmaker as a 23-year-old from the University of Mississippi. Unfortunately, Lewis doesn't yet make enough tackles to really be a consistent Fantasy option in IDP formats.

Lewis ruled active for Week 8

News: Chiefs DB Kendrick Lewis has been ruled active for Week 8 against the Chargers. Lewis was limited in practice this week due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Lewis' ankle injury apparently is feeling much better and he will now play on Monday night. The 23-year-old was turned in one of his better efforts in last week's win over the Raiders and has racked up 26 tackles and two interceptions thus far. Lewis can be considered a low-end option in deeper IDP formats against Kansas City.

Lewis upgraded to probable

News: Chiefs DB Kendrick Lewis was upgraded to probable on the team's injury report released Saturday. Perkins was listed as questionable heading into Week 8 against the Chargers after he was limited at practice on Friday due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Lewis' ankle injury apparently is feeling much better, as his status was upgraded on Saturday. The 23-year-old was turned in one of his better efforts in last week's win over the Raiders and has racked up 26 tackles and two interceptions thus far. Owners should continue and monitor his status heading into Monday night's contest. Lewis can be considered a low-end option in deeper IDP formats, when healthy.

Lewis limited in practice

News: Chiefs DB Kendrick Lewis was limited in practice for the second straight day on Friday as his team prepared for Week 8 against the Chargers. He suffered a left ankle injury during Week 7 against the Raiders.
Analysis: Lewis returned an interception 59 yards for a touchdown in the contest and was able to return and finish out the game. It looks as though he should be able to play on Monday night so continue to view him as a low-end Fantasy DB in IDP formats.

Lewis dealing with ankle injury

News: Chiefs DB Kendrick Lewis suffered a left ankle injury during Week 7 against the Raiders. Lewis, who returned an interception 59 yards for a touchdown, briefly left the contest due to his injury, but was able to return and finish out the game. Lewis has 26 tackles to go along with a pair of interceptions this season.
Analysis: Lewis apparently tweaked his ankle pretty good on Sunday, although he appeared he is hoping to be able to play next week against the Chargers. The good news is the game is on Monday night, which will give the 25-year-old an extra day of rest. However, he will almost certainly end up on the injury report, so Fantasy owners will have to monitor his status moving forward. Lewis can be considered a low-end Fantasy DB, when healthy.

Lewis finds the end zone

News: Chiefs DB Kendrick Lewis registered his second interception of the season in Week 7 against the Raiders. Lewis picked up Kyle Boller on his first pass attempt of the game and returned in 59 yards for a touchdown. “He thought he had the out route wide open. I baited him into it. I knew that he was going there, and I just drove on it and made a play," Lewis said.
Analysis: Lewis turned in a big game on Sunday, but has been a bit inconsistent this season. The 23-year-old usually doesn't rack up enough stats to be worth starting most weeks, so leave him on the waiver wire heading into Week 8 against the Chargers.

K. Lewis makes two picks

News: Chiefs rookie DB Kendrick Lewis picked off Rams QB Sam Bradford twice, both times late in the fourth quarter, in a Week 15 win. Lewis now has three interceptions this season. He did not make any tackles in the game.
Analysis: Lewis had a nice game, though he had been quiet up until the very end. Overall, though he has not produced much for Fantasy in his rookie season, and he should remain on waivers in IDP leagues for Week 16.

Lewis picks off first career pass

News: Chiefs DB Kendrick Lewis recorded the first interception of his young career in Week 12 against the Seahawks. He picked off QB Matt Hasselbeck in the first half and finished with two tackles in the 42-24 win.
Analysis: Lewis, a rookie out of Mississippi, entered Sunday with just 22 tackles and three passes defended on the year. He played well while filling in for a banged up Kansas City secondary but still holds little Fantasy value in IDP formats heading into Week 13 against the Broncos.

Lewis signs with the Chiefs

News: The Chiefs announced the signing of fifth-round choice Kendrick Lewis, a free safety out of Mississippi to a three-year deal. Lewis has a chance to receive significant playing time as he spent a lot of time with the No. 1 defense playing next to first-round pick Eric Berry this spring.
Analysis: Lewis saw so much time because free safety Jarrad Page held out of camp. If Page is moved this summer, then the door is open for Lewis to be considered for Fantasy play. Until then, don't expect much from him. He's worth a pick in rookie-only drafts late.

Chiefs draft safety Lewis

News: The Chiefs drafted safety Kendrick Lewis in the fifth round of the NFL Draft at No. 142 overall. Lewis is the second safety drafted by the Chiefs this year along with first-round pick Eric Berry.
Analysis: Lewis will likely see time on special teams and in nickel and dime packages for the Chiefs. He has minimal Fantasy value and is not worth drafting in the majority of leagues this season.
