49ers to have their probables Week 15

(12/14/2014) The 49ers will have their probable players Week 15 against the Seahawks.

Mike Iupati, Ray McDonald and Justin Smith are all active for the contest. Iupati is dealing with an elbow injury. McDonald has a finger issue. Smith is dealing with a back injury.


Steve Johnson among 49ers ruled out for Seattle game

(12/12/2014) The 49ers have ruled four of the 11 players listed on its final injury report for Week 15 against Seattle. Those four include linebacker NaVorro Bowman (knee), tackle Anthony Davis (concussion), defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey (forearm) and wide receiver Steve Johnson (knee).

Cornerback Tramaine Brock (hamstring), cornerback Chris Culliver (knee), center Marcus Martin (knee) and safety Raymond Ventrone (groin) were deemed questionable.

Meanwhile, guard Mike Iupati (elbow), defensive end Ray McDonald (finger) and defensive end Justin Smith (back) were labeled as probable.

Iupati injured his elbow. The team evaluated Iupati at halftime, and determined that he was questionable to return to the contest.

(10/19/2014) The 49ers have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 7 matchup against the Broncos: cornerback Chris Culliver (shoulder), guard Mike Iupati (concussion), linebacker Patrick Willis (toe), safety Jimmie Ward (quad), center Marcus Martin, wide receiver Quinton Patton and defensive end Tank Carradine.

Culliver and Ward received questionable designations on the team's final injury report, while Willis was already listed as out. Cornerback Tramaine Brock (toe) and tackle Anthony Davis (knee, ankle) are active after being listed as questionable.

Wide receiver Steve Johnson (hip) and tight end Vernon Davis (back) head the list of players who were listed as probable that are active in Week 7, a list that also includes cornerbacks Chris Cook (quad) and Perrish Cox (quad) as well as defensive linemen Justin Smith (not injury related), Ian Williams (ankle, shoulder) and Tony Jerod-Eddie (shoulder).

(10/17/2014) 49ers guard Mike Iupati, who is still experiencing concussion symptoms, won't have enough time to be cleared before Sunday's game. He was officially ruled out for Week 7 at Denver, per Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.

The 49ers have a bye week before returning to action Week 9 at home against St. Louis.

(4/25/2014) 49ers guard Mike Iupati, who broke his left ankle in the NFC Championship Game, is out of his walking boot, reports the San Jose Mercury News. Iupati is expected to be ready for the start of the season.

“He’ll be back at some point. How soon? That’s up to the medical staff for them to clear him," general manager Trent Baalke said. "He’s out of the boot. He’s walking. He’s doing well."

(1/19/2014) 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters after the NFC Championship game that 49ers left guard Mike Iupati suffered a broken ankle, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.

Backup running back Anthony Dixon leaped over his linemen for a touchdown in the second quarter, but landed on Iupati's ankle. Iupati was helped off the field by his teammates and was carted back to the locker room for an X-ray exam, keeping him out for the remainder of the game.

Iupati is dealing with a knee injury. Smith has a shoulder issue. Both players were able to put in full practice Friday.

(11/17/2013) Starting center Mike Iupati entered the game for the 49ers on Sunday against New Orleans having been probable with a knee injury. He left town on crutches and with a brace on his left knee. He was injured when teammate Frank Gore rolled up on his leg in the second half.
