News: The Ravens signed receiver Logan Payne and cut fullback Jamison Berryhill.
Analysis: Payne has never caught on over his NFL career while Berryhill wasn't expected to make a significant impact anyway. Neither player warrants Fantasy consideration.
News: The Jets have waived wide receiver Logan Payne. He spent last season on injured reserve with a wrist injury.
Analysis: Payne shouldn't be considered Fantasy relevant until he finds a new team to play for with lots of playing time. Forget about him.
News: The New York Daily News reports Saturday that Jets receiver Logan Payne, out with a wrist injury, will go on season-ending injured reserve. Payne was already ruled out for Week 7 against the Chargers. His season is now over.
Analysis: Payne was having a solid preseason for the Jets when he injured his wrist. It was first diagnosed he'd miss 6-8 weeks, but Payne will actually be done for the year. He has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: The New York Daily News reports that Jets WR Logan Payne is expected to miss six to eight weeks. Payne injured his wrist against the Giants on Monday.
Analysis: Payne was having a good camp prior to getting hurt, but he just didn't figure to be a big part of the offense in 2011. This injury still means it's safe to ignore Payne in all Fantasy formats.
News: Jets WR Logan Payne injured his wrist against the Giants on Monday and will need surgery, according to coach Rex Ryan. His recovery time will be assessed after the surgery.
Analysis: Payne was having a good camp prior to getting hurt, but he just didn't figure to be a big part of the offense in 2011. This injury still means it's safe to ignore Payne in all Fantasy formats.
News: Jets WR Logan Payne has left Monday's game against the Giants with a wrist injury. He did not return. Payne, who has had a strong training camp is battling for the final receiver spot, has shown a lot of reliability and flexibility on special teams.
Analysis: Payne was capping his solid camp with some run as the No. 3 WR early in the game, so the injury comes at an inopportune time for him. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on the issue, though Payne is not expected to make a significant impact in 2011 with so many WRs ahead of him on the depth chart. Don't target him on Draft Day.
News: According to the New York Daily News, signed WR Logan Payne to the practice squad on Saturday. Payne was released earlier in the week by the Vikings. The team released RB Xavier Omon to make room for Payne.
Analysis: Despite finding a new team, Payne doesn't have much Fantasy value. He played in two games for the Seahawks between 2008-09. He caught three passes for 39 yards. Owners should continue to ignore him.
News: The Vikings cut WR Logan Payne from their practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Payne, a receiver out of the University of Minnesota, played in two games for the Seahawks between 2008-09. He caught three passes for 39 yards. He has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: The Vikings added WR Logan Payne to the practice squad on Sunday.
Analysis: Payne, a receiver out of the University of Minnesota, played in two games for the Seahawks in 2008-09. He caught three passes for 39 yards. He has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: With the Vikings losing Pro Bowl receiver Sidney Rice following late-August hip surgery, the team is scrounging for depth to replace him. One possible option is Logan Payne, a member of the Seahawks from 2007 to 2009, though he only played in two NFL games. Payne has caught a team-high eight passes for 56 yards and a touchdown through two preseason games and might land a roster spot based on his performance and the team's needs at receiver.
Analysis: Payne is worth a look late in the deepest of seasonal leagues, but that's about it. His opportunities will be limited while Rice is sidelined and would become nil once Rice returns. Still, we'll keep our eyes on him over the next couple of preseason games and let you know what we think.
News: Vikings WR Logan Payne had 11 passes thrown his way during Saturday's game against the Rams. With receivers Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin sitting out, Payne got into the game in the first quarter, and was a frequent target of Sage Rosenfels. He finished with seven receptions for 52 yards, hauling in a two-yard touchdown pass from Rosenfels in the second quarter.
Analysis: Payne has appeared in only two games in his NFL career, registering three receptions for 39 yards. The Vikings are deep at wideout, so he's a long shot to make the final roster. Even if he makes the team Payne will have little if any impact in Fantasy this year.
News: The Seattle Times reports that Seahawks WR Logan Payne is likely done for the year with a torn MCL. He sustained the injury in a Week 2 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Payne spent the entire 2007 season either on Seattle's practice squad or on their gameday inactive list, but was thrust into the starting lineup in Week 2 due to injuries sustained by Bobby Engram, Deion Branch and Nate Burleson. Now Payne is out for the year, you can surely ignore him in all formats if you weren't already.
News: Seattle came into Sunday's game against the 49ers with three healthy wide receivers. Courtney Taylor, Logan Payne and Michael Bumpus an undrafted rookie from Washington State signed from the practice squad on Saturday started the game in a three wide receiver formation. Then on the second series, Payne left after getting hit on the knee by Dashon Goldson during a reception. Payne grabbed the one pass for 14 yards.
Analysis: Payne wasn't considered a viable Fantasy option, but at least he was a body able to catch footballs. It isn't known the extent of the injury, but he left the game. We'll update you when we know more.

News: Seahawks WR Nate Burleson has been ruled out for the season after tearing ligaments in his left knee during Seattle's Week 1 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: OK, hands up who can name the top three healthy WRs in Seattle right now? Don't worry, you're not alone. Currently, they are Courtney Taylor, Jordan Kent and Logan Payne. Bobby Engram and Deion Branch are recovering from their respective injuries, but Engram isn't expected back until October while Branch is probably a week or two away from returning. Drop Burleson in all formats and if you're a gambler, take a flier on whichever of those three names I listed you think can make a Fantasy impact in Week 2 against the 49ers.
News: Seahawks WR Logan Payne caught two passes for 25 yards in a Week 1 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Analysis: Payne is one of the three semi-unknown guys trying to earn playing time while the Seahawks deal with injuries to Bobby Engram, Deion Branch and now Nate Burleson. He isn't worth grabbing off the wire just yet, but continue to monitor his progress.
News: The Seahawks are counting on Courtney Taylor, Jordan Kent and Logan Payne to help the ailing receiving corps. Kent and Payne were both on the Seahawks' practice squad last year and never appeared in a game. Barring a sudden improvement in the health of veteran Deion Branch, they'll be making their NFL debuts Sunday. That opportunity has come about in large part because of major injuries to three of the four Seahawks receivers who figured to get the most playing time this season. Branch had knee surgery and is working his way back after not playing in exhibition games nor practicing in training camp. Coach Mike Holmgren had hoped to have Branch back this week. But Branch didn't take part in Monday's short practice and his status is unknown. Bobby Engram is out for at least the first two games to rehabilitate a cracked shoulder bone, and Ben Obomanu is lost for the season with a broken collarbone suffered in the exhibition finale.
Analysis: Taylor should get the biggest boost in playing time because he's the most experienced. For now, though, ignore all three and see how Taylor, Kent and Payne do in their season debut against the Bills. If any of them play well, consider adding them off the waiver wire.
News: The depleted Seattle Seahawks' receiving corps took another hit Friday night when Ben Obomanu broke his clavicle early in Seattle's 23-16 preseason victory over the Oakland Raiders. Obomanu was injured midway through the first quarter after making a 33-yard catch over the middle, landing hard on his shoulder. Coach Mike Holmgren revealed the injury after the game. "That's a tough one, certainly," Holmgren said. "I feel bad for him. He was very much in our plans." Asked if Obomanu may be placed on injured reserve, Holmgren said, "It's a possibility." Should Obomanu be placed on injured reserve, the move would open an additional roster spot for the likes of rookie Michael Bumpus or Logan Payne, both of whom appeared to be borderline to make the 53-man roster before Obomanu's injury. "It's just an unusual situation with the numbers at wide receiver with all the injuries," Holmgren said.
Analysis: Payne had three catches for 34 yards Friday. He finished the preseason with eight catches for 82 yards. Payne is a second-year player out of Minnesota. If he makes the squad, he will be nothing more than roster depth. It's safe to ignore him in Fantasy.
News: Seattle WR Ben Obomanu is earning his spot with the Seahawks this year, reports the News Tribune. Obomanu's work ethic and consistency earned him a regular appearance with veterans Bobby Engram and Nate Burleson in the team's frequently used three-receiver sets. With Deion Branch still recovering from anterior cruciate ligament surgery on his left knee, and with questions lingering if he will be ready for the team's regular season opener at Buffalo, the competition at receiver has produced several candidates with Obomanu battling with Courtney Taylor, Logan Payne and Jordan Kent. But Obomanu has stood out so far and is ahead of the other two. Last year, he saw action in 13 games, finishing with 12 receptions and 180 yards with one touchdown.
Analysis: Seattle needs help at receiver, and Obomanu could provide the answer. He is worth taking with a late-round flier in deep leagues. Don't draft Taylor, Payne or Kent at this time, but keep an eye on how they do in case they earn regular playing time during the year.
News: WR Logan Payne spent the entire 2007 season either on Seattle's practice squad or on their gameday inactive list.
Analysis: Payne doesn't produce enough stats on a regular basis to consider for Fantasy play. Leave him out of draft plans.
News: The Seahawks set their eight-player practice squad Sunday, and it's a group of young players that spent much of the offseason with the team. WR Jordan Kent, a sixth-round draft choice this past spring from Oregon, joins WR Logan Payne (Minnesota) on the squad. TE Joe Newton is from Oregon State and FB David Kirtman, a fifth-round choice in 2006, is from Mercer Island and USC. Former California DE Nu'u Tafisi, LB Cameron Jensen (Brigham Young) and DB Kevin Hobbs (Auburn) round out the squad. All eight players were with the Seahawks in training camp and the exhibition season before being waived Saturday when the Seahawks trimmed their active roster to 53 players.
Analysis: None of these players should be drafted in any Fantasy leagues this year. They will not get enough playing time to help your roster at any point this season.
News: On Saturday, the Seahawks let go of: CB Omowale Dada, QB Derek Devine, WR Joe Fernandez, DE Brandon Green, DT Marcus Green, CB DeJuan Groce, CB Kevin Hobbs, CB Pete Hunter, LB Cameron Jensen, rookie WR Jordan Kent, FB David Kirtman, TE Joe Newton, FB Josh Parry, WR Logan Payne, C Pat Ross, TE Leonard Stephens, DE Nu'u Tafisi, DT Eric Taylor, G Steve Vallos, RB Marquis Weeks and OT Kyle Williams.
Analysis: Kent is a raw talent who could resurface elsewhere (maybe on the Seahawks' practice squad). Everyone else isn't relevant Fantasywise at this point. All of the above players should be considered unusable for Fantasy purposes until they find regular playing time with an NFL team.
News: Seahawks WRs Ben Obomanu and Logan Payne along with backup TE Ben Joppru each had two receptions at Green Bay in Seattle's second preseason game. Joppru had 26 yards, Obomanu had 24 yards and Payne had 18 yards.
Analysis: All three of these guys are reserves for Seattle, with Obomanu a special-teams standout. Do not rely on any of these players to help you win a Fantasy championship in 2007.
