News: The Palm Beach Post reports Wednesday that the Dolphins were able to sign free agent OLB Jason Trusnik to a two-year deal. The special-teams standout played in all 16 games over the last two season with the Browns.
Analysis: Trusnik, the Division III All-American from Ohio Northern, has spent the last two season in his hometown of Cleveland after beginning his career as a New York Jet. He was able to rack up 86 total tackles over the last two seasons along with 3 1/2 sacks, so he may be able to help out the team's need on defense as a reserve. Still, Trusnik figures to be a special team guy at a minimum, which warrants no Fantasy value in any format. Ignore him on Draft Day.
News:Jason Trusnik, Kenyon Coleman, Corey Williams and Kamerion Wimbley all recorded a sack in the team's Week 8 game against the Bears. Trusnik also led the team in tackles with eight.
Analysis: Of these players, Wimbley is the only one with any Fantasy value and he is just a low-end option in IDP formats. These other three players can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Newly acquired WR Chansi Stuckey and LB Jason Trusnik arrived in time to attend offensive and defensive meetings, respectively, Wednesday. They both participated in practice Thursday.
Analysis: Trusnik plays mostly on special teams, so he's unlikely to help Fantasy rosters anytime soon. Leave him on waivers in all leagues.
News: LB Jason Trusnik was traded from the Jets to the Browns as part of a package for WR Braylon Edwards. Trusnik will be reunited with former head coach Eric Mangini, who is now the head man in Cleveland.
Analysis: Trusnik plays mostly on special teams, so he's unlikely to help Fantasy rosters anytime soon.
News:Larry Izzo and Jason Trusnik both recovered a fumble in Week 3's game against the Titans. Trusnik had two tackles in the game and Izzo had one.
Analysis: Izzo is a special teams specialist and Trusnik is not a relevant Fantasy player. Leave both players off of rosters in all formats.
News: The Jets are hosting the Bills in Week 15 and have listed the following players as being inactive for the game: K Mike Nugent, QB Brett Ratliff (3rd QB), WR Brad Smith, DB Drew Coleman, DB J.R. Reed, DB David Barrett, LB Vernon Gholston and LB Jason Trusnik.
Analysis: None of these players has any Fantasy appeal even when active, except maybe Nugent if he ever comes back from his thigh injury. Leave him and the rest of these players on waivers.
News: Jets LB Jason Trusnik was activated off the PUP list on Saturday before Week 9 at Buffalo. The Jets waived DL Kareem Brown.
Analysis: Trusnik played in six games last season as a rookie and recorded six special teams tackles before injuring a foot. He was placed on injured reserve before the season finale and started training camp on the PUP list while recovering from the injury. He has no Fantasy value and neither does Brown at this time.
News: The Jets have waived DB Ron Girault and RB Rodney Kinlaw and placed LB Jason Trusnik on the Reserve/PUP List.
Analysis: None of these guys warrant Fantasy consideration. Keep them off rosters until further notice.
News: The Jets placed LB Jason Trusnik on injured reserve with a foot injury, reports The Sports Xchange.
Analysis: Trusnik had eight tackles this season, so this injury means nothing for Fantasy purposes. Leave him on waivers.
News: The Jets signed LB Jason Trusnik to their active roster from the practice squad on Saturday.
Analysis: He's not going to total many stats, if any. Keep him off Fantasy rosters.
News: The Jets trimmed down their roster to 53 on Saturday by releasing RB Alvin Banks, CB Manny Collins, LB Blake Costanzo, WR Chris Davis, DE Michael Haynes, CB Alphonso Hodge, WR Frisman Jackson, WR Evan Prall, WR Brett Rafliff, LB Anthony Schlegel, S Jamie Thompson, LB Jason Trusnik, S Raymond Ventrone and RB Danny Ware.
Analysis: Most of the cut players are either past their prime or have had little to no impact during their NFL careers. Ignore them in all Fantasy formats at this time.
