Giants bring back Henry Hynoski

(3/13/2014) The Giants have signed fullback Henry Hynoski to a one-year, $1 million contract, reports ESPN.

Hynoski is expected to compete with John Conner for the starting fullback job in 2014. He missed all of the 2013 season with a shoulder injury.

The Giants might want Hynoski back but not at that price, according to Newsday.

Hynoski has recovered from a lateral plateau fracture on his left knee suffered in late May.

(7/26/2013) Giants pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul has opened training camp on the PUP list. Coach Tom Coughlin said JPP was coming along in his rehab and that his weight was good according to the New York Daily News

Per the paper, Pierre-Paul is joined by fullback Henry Hynoski, guard Chris Snee, defensive lineman Markus Juhn and cornerback Terrell Thomas on the PUP list


Giants make kicker move, add fullback Ryan D'Imperio

(7/26/2013) The Giants signed fullback Ryan D'Imperio while waiving kicker David Buehler. The move means Josh Brown will be Big Blue's kicker. D'Imperio will replace Henry Hynoski for the start of the season.

(7/14/2013) After a month and a half of rehab, Giants fullback Henry Hynoski -- who is recovering from a lateral plateau fracture on his left knee suffered in late May -- could be ready by the season opener against the Cowboys, according to The Star-Ledger.

According to a source briefed on Hynoski's progress, the Giants' fullback is a little bit ahead of schedule in his rehab and preparing to be ready by Week 1. Hynoski is expected to begin full weight-bearing exercises in the coming weeks.


Henry Hynoski might miss opener

(6/24/2013) The Giants are concerned about fullback Henry Hynoski, who is still recovering from knee surgery and might not be ready for the start of the regular season.

The New York Daily News reports that Hynoski, who suffered an injury to his left knee at the Giants' first spring practice May 22 and underwent surgery two days later, is already expected to miss most of training camp, which he'll likely begin on the PUP list.

Hynoski, in a statement released back in May, said he was told being ready for the Giants' Sept. 8 opener "is not an unrealistic goal." However, a source said the Giants are not certain at all that he’ll be recovered in time.

(5/23/2013) The Giants posted an update on fullback Henry Hynoski. The veteran "suffered an injury to his medial collateral ligament and a chip fracture to the lateral plateau." The injuries require surgery. He hopes to be ready in time for Week 1. "I am going to set my mind to being ready for the first game of the regular season," said Hynoski. "They said that is not an unrealistic goal, and I will do everything in my power to be ready for the start of the season."
