(11/1/2013) The Browns are as healthy as they have been all season, as their Friday injury report reveals. They could field a 100 percent healthy team when they host Baltimore on Sunday.

The others are probable. They include defensive end Desmond Bryant (thumb), running backs Willis McGahee (ankle) and Chris Ogbonnaya (ribs), cornerback Chris Owens (finger) and linebacker Jabaal Sheard (wrist).

(10/18/2013) The wait appears to be over for Browns outside linebacker Jabaal Sheard to return to game action from a knee injury. He is listed as probable for the clash Sunday in Green Bay.

His loss the last three weeks had prevented the Browns from utilizing their full rotation at linebacker. The Browns struggled more defensively against the run and pass during his absence.

(10/16/2013) Browns starting outside linebacker Jabaal Sheard, who missed the last three games with a sprained knee, nearly got the green light for the game Sunday against Detroit, according to The Associated Press. He is set to practice on Wednesday and could play in Green Bay in Week 7.

The Browns have struggled against the run, stopping pass-catching backs and getting off the field on third down, at which they rank 29th in the NFL. Their pass rush has also been slowed to a crawl. Sheard could help in all those areas.

He was again sidelined from practice Friday with a knee injury, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Associated Press speculated on Thursday that Sheard could be out for a while.

Jabaal Sheard thriving at linebacker

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/16/2013) Jabaal Sheard has transitioned wonderfully from defensive end in a 4-3 to outside linebacker in a 3-4 for the Browns. Sheard has consistently used his quickness to put heat on quarterbacks and running backs in the two preseason victories.

Sheard has all but locked up a starting spot with rookie outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo sidelined with a bruised lung, though the first-round pick should received plenty of playing time when he returns, especially in passing situations.

"I know there was a number of 3-4 teams that looked at him when he was coming out of college, that were really interested in him," Chudzinski said. "I've been impressed with him from a mental standpoint and what he’s been able to bring out to the field."
