Bengals cut five players

(8/25/2014) The Bengals waived defensive tackle Larry Black, defensive back Isaiah Lewis, kicker Quinn Sharp and receiver Ryan Whalen and released cornerback R.J. Stanford.

Geno Atkins, Leon Hall highlight sidelined Bengals

(7/21/2014) As the Bengals prepare to open training camp this week, they placed nine players on the Physically Unable to Perform list and another three on the Non-Football Injury list. All 12 players can come off both lists at any time. 

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins (knee), cornerback Leon Hall (Achilles), guard Clint Boling (knee), linebacker Marquis Flowers (hamstring), punter Kevin Huber (neck), receiver Colin Lockett (hamstring), defensive tackle Zach Minter (back), defensive tackle Devon Still (back) and receiver Ryan Whalen (hamstring) all were placed on PUP. 

In addition to receiver Marvin Jones (ankle), who might not be seriously hurt, the Bengals placed cornerback Onterio McCalebb (ankle) and quarterback AJ McCarron (shoulder) on their NFI list. 


Bengals inactives against San Diego

(1/5/2014) The Bengals have made RB Rex Burkhead, CB Terence Newman, OT Tanner Hawkinson, WR Ryan Whalen, WR Dane Sanzenbacher, DT Ogemdi Nwagbuo and TE Kevin Brock inactive against the Chargers.

Newman is the only player on the list who was on the injury report. He was doubtful due to a knee injury. The other six players are healthy scratches.


Bengals inactives Week 17

(12/29/2013) The Bengals have ruled CB Terence Newman, RB Rex Burkhead, WR Ryan Whalen, OG Tanner Hawkinson, DT Devon Still, TE Jermaine Gresham and TE Tyler Eifert inactive Week 17.

Newman was ruled out prior to Sunday. Both Gresham and Eifert will be out, leaving Alex Smith as the presumed starter at tight end.

(10/27/2013) Only cornerback Leon Hall is inactive among Bengals starters Sunday against the Jets. He had been ruled out with an Achilles injury. Others on the injured list who have been sidelined are running back Rex Burkhead (calf) and defensive tackle Devon Still (elbow).

The healthy scratches are cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, offensive linemen Tanner Hawkinson and Trevor Robinson and wideout Ryan Whalen.
