Two questionable for Browns in Week 3

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/19/2014) Tight end Jordan Cameron (shoulder) is not the only Browns player listed as questionable for the Sunday game against Baltimore. Second-year linebacker Barkevious Mingo (shoulder) has received the same designation.

All the other Browns on their Friday injury report aside from shelved running back Ben Tate (knee) are probable. They are wide receiver Travis Benjamin (knee), defensive ends Desmond Bryant (wrist) and John Hughes (hamstring), punter Spencer Lanning (shoulder), offensive lineman Paul McQuistan (ankle) and cornerback Buster Skrine (thumb).

The four defensive probables are linebackers Paul Kruger (illness) and Tank Carder (shoulder), safety Jordan Poyer (toe) and safety T.J. Ward (shoulder, illness). Punter Spencer Lanning (knee) is also probable.

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

Spencer Lanning a big-time contributor

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(9/22/2013) Browns punter Spencer Lanning probably had his best game as a profession Sunday of Week 3 at Minnesota. Lanning played a major role in the game.

The punter found tight end Jordan Cameron for an 11-yard touchdown pass on a fake field goal in the second quarter. He was 1 for 1 throwing the football for the score. Lanning was also needed to kick field goals later in the game after Billy Cundiff was injured.

Lanning kicked the extra point following the game-winning touchdown pass from Brian Hoyer to Cameron with less than a minute to play. Cleveland plays Cincinnati Week 4.

Spencer Lanning lands Browns punter gig

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/22/2013) Spencer Lanning was the only punter left on the Browns Thursday after T.J. Conley was waived, reports the Akron Beacon Journal. Lanning will remain the starter unless the team decides to bring in more competition. Lanning earned the job by averaging 45.8 yards a punt in eight preseason attempts.
