Raiders list inactives for Week 17

(12/28/2014) The Raiders have listed WR Denarius Moore, WR Vincent Brown, CB Chimdi Chekwa, CB T.J. Carrie, G Tony Bergstrom, T Menelik Watson and DT Stacy McGee as inactive Week 17 against the Broncos.

Brown, Chekwa and Moore had all been ruled out prior to Sunday. Both Carrie and Watson entered the contest listed as questionable. Carrie is dealing with an ankle injury. Watson has foot and ankle issues. Bergstrom and McGee are healthy scratches. 


Raiders list seven player on Week 17 injury report

(12/26/2014) The Raiders listed seven players on its final injury report for Week 17 against Denver. Wide receiver Vincent Brown (groin), cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring), and wide receiver Denarius Moore (knee, ankle) were ruled out for for Sunday. Cornerback T.J. Carrie (ankle), linebacker Khalil Mack (hamstring) and tackle Menelik Watson (foot, ankle) were labeled questionable.

Meanwhile, defensive back Ras-I Dowling (hamstring) got the green light after being a limited participant all week. He was deemed probable for the final game of the season.


Raiders list Week 16 inactives vs. Bills

(12/21/2014) The Raiders have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 16 matchup with the Bills:  wide receivers Vincent Brown (groin) and Denarius Moore (knee, ankle), tight end Brian Leonhardt (concussion), cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring), guard Tony Bergstrom, tackle Menelik Watson and defensive tackle Stacy McGee.

Brown, Moore, Leonhard and Chewka were previously ruled out on the team's final injury report for Week 16. Bergstrom, Watson and McGee are healthy scratches.

The team will have cornerback D.J. Hayden (back) and defensive tackle C.J. Wilson (knee) available after both players were listed as questionable to play. Also active are quarterback Derek Carr (thumb) and cornerback T.J. Carrie (ankle), both of whom were deemed probable.

The Raiders are a 6 1/2-point underdog at home against the Bills.


Raiders unveil final injury for Bills game

(12/19/2014) The Raiders released their final injury report for the Week 16 game against the Bills and listed quarterback Derek Carr (thumb) and cornerback T.J. Carrie (ankle) as probable.

The only players listed as questionable are defensive lineman C.J. Wilson (knee) and cornerback D.J. Hayden (back).

The Raiders listed the following players as out: Vincent Brown (groin), Tarell Brown (foot), Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring), Brian Leonhardt (concussion), Menelik Watson (foot) and Denarius Moore (knee).

The Raiders are 6 1/2-point underdogs.

(12/12/2014) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore will miss his third consecutive game with ankle and knee injuries. Moore, who has 12 catches for 115 yards on the year, has played in 10 games for Oakland. 

Also out for the Raiders is Larry Asante, Brian Leonhardt and Menelik Watson.

Sio Moore, Tarell Brown, and Pat Sims are all questionable while Chimdi Chekwa, Andre Holmes and Neiko Thorpe are probable. 


Report: Raiders' Denarius Moore injured after falling at hotel

(12/11/2014) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore injured himself after falling down some stairs at a hotel on Sunday, according to ESPN.

Moore injured himself on his way to the team bus, and was inactive for the contest. He hasn't been able to practice this week due to ankle and knee issues. Head coach Tony Sparano acknowledged the injuries, but noted that they were not suffered at the team's facility. 


Raiders WR Denarius Moore suffers knee, ankle injuries

(12/10/2014) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore did not practice Wednesday due to knee and ankle injuries, but interim coach Tony Sparano indicated that the injuries did not happen at the team's facilities, ESPN.com reports.

Moore hasn't been a big part of the Raiders offense this season, catching 12 passes for 115 yards. He was a healthy scratch in the team's Week 14 win over the 49ers.

(12/7/2014) The Raiders have listed QB Matt McGloin, WR Denarius Moore, CB Neiko Thorpe, OL Tony Bergstrom, OL Menelik Watson, TE Brian Leonhardt and DT Stacy McGee as inactive Week 14 against the 49ers. 

Leonhardt was the only player ruled out prior to Sunday. Thorpe came into the game listed as questionable. He's dealing with a hand injury. The other five players listed as healthy scratches.

(10/26/2014) Several Raiders receivers made a minor mark for their team in a Week 8 loss to the Browns. Included were wideout Kenbrell Thompkins, who caught four passes for 34 yards and added a 7-yard run, and fullback Marcel Reece, who snaagged five for 34 yards.

Also chipping in were running back Maurice Jones-Drew with six carries for eight yards and one catch for six yards, wide receiver Denarius Moore with one catch for five yards and wideout Brice Butler with one reception for nine yards.


Raiders backup pass catchers don't amount to much Week 7

(10/19/2014) The Raiders backup pass catchers didn't do all that much Week 7 against the Cardinals.

Brice Butler led the team in receiving, but all of it came on a long catch. In the second quarter, Derek Carr found Butler on a deep pass over the middle that went for 55 yards. It was Butler's only catch of the game.

Andre Holmes had three catches, gaining 34 yards. Mychal Rivera picked up one reception, gaining 18 yards. Denarius Moore also caught one ball, gaining 13 yards. Jamize Olawale gained 7 yards on his only reception of the game. Brian Leonhardt also caught one pass, gaining 4 yards. 

They will take on the Browns Week 8.


Raiders receive contributions from several role players Week 6

(10/12/2014) The Raiders received minor contributions from several role players in a Week 6 defeat to the Chargers on Sunday. 

Marcel Reece took one handoff for a gain of 2 yards and caught one of three targets for 11 yards. Denarius Moore caught his lone target for a gain of 9 yards on the second-to-last play of the first half. Jamize Olawale caught the only pass thrown in his direction for a gain of 5 yards. Mychal Rivera was targeted three times and finished without a grab.


Sparano: Raiders WR Denarius Moore gets clean slate

(10/8/2014) Raiders interim head coach Tony Sparano said Wednesday that wide receiver Denarius Moore will get a clean slate with the coaching staff, NFL.com reports.

Moore was a healthy scratch in Week 4 and has a battle to emerge as an option in the passing game, as the team has added Kenbrell Thompkins and Vincent Brown to the position group. However, after spending much of his time in the doghouse since the beginning of the 2013 season, he'll have a chance to put the past behind him and move forward with a clean slate.

Moore caught 46 passes for 695 yards and five touchdowns last season but has managed just eight catches for 60 yards in 2014.

(9/28/2014) Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie confirmed that Denarius Moore was a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins in London, per the San Francisco Chronicle.

Moore led the team with five touchdowns last season, but appears to have taken a backseat to Andre Holmes and Vincent Brown on the depth chart. He has been limited to eight grabs for 60 yards this season.

Denarius Moore can't make most of targets

(9/21/2014) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore, who is still looking for his breakout game in 2014, got plenty of balls thrown his way Week 3 at New England, tying for the team lead with seven targets, but he pulled down only three of them for 23 yards. He had three catches for 29 yards against the Texans last week.

One of the misses was the play that decided the game. On first-and-goal from the 12-yard line, immediately after a Darren McFadden touchdown run was reversed by a holding penalty, Moore had a pass knocked out of his hands, off another defender and into the arms of a diving Vince Wilfork for an interception.

Moore will look to make more of an impact Week 4 against Miami.


Denarius Moore not doing much in loss to Texans

(9/14/2014) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore took another step back in a Week 2 loss to the Texans on Sunday.

Moore was held to one catch for 11 yards in the first half. He finished the game with three catches for 29 yards. He was targeted five times in a 30-14 defeat. Through two weeks, Moore has five catches for 37 yards.

The Raiders will travel to New England for a Week 3 showdown against the Patriots.


Rod Streater, James Jones lead Oakland receivers

(9/7/2014) Raiders receivers Rod Streater and James Jones led the team in receiving Sunday in Week 1 at the Jets in a 19-14 loss.

Streater was second on the team in targets with seven and finished with five catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. Jones had three targets for three catches, 34 yard and a touchdown.

Denarius Moore led the Raiders in targets with eight, but he finished with just two catches for 8 yards.

The Raiders play host to the Texans in Week 2.


Denarius Moore scores twice in preseason finale

(8/29/2014) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore pretty much maximized his four targets Thursday night against Seattle.

Moore caught a 36-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and added an 11-yard score in the second. He finished with three catches for 58 yards. Moore has snagged nine passes for 140 yards in the preseason.

Moore has started 35 of the 41 games he has played in, but appears to be at risk of being cut as he enters his fourth season. He had 46 catches for 695 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games a year ago.

(8/4/2014) The Raiders' initial depth chart lists receiver James Jones on the second team, behind starters Rod Streater and Andre Holmes. Greg Little joins Jones on the second team.

Denarius Moore and Juron Criner are the third-string wideouts.

Jones had a career-high 817 receiving yards last year with the Packers. He's caught 24 touchdown passes over the past three seasons.

(6/15/2014) Andre Holmes appears to be passing Denarius Moore in the battle for the Raiders' No. 3 receiver job, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. James Jones and Rod Streater are the top two targets.

In the final seven games last season, Holmes caught 25 passes for 431 yards and a touchdown. Moore caught four touchown passes in the first six weeks, just one after that. He has not exceeded 750 receiving yards in any of his first three seasons.


Denarius Moore racks up 63 yards in losing effort

(12/29/2013) Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore, who was held to just 17 receiving yards his last time out, bounced back with a decent performance during Sunday's season finale at home against the Broncos in Week 17

Moore caught an 18-yard pass in the second quarter and then made a 24-yard grab in the third quarter, for his longest gains of the day. He caught four of the seven passes thrown his way for 63 yards in a 34-14 defeat.

Moore ended the season as the team's second leading receiver with 46 catches for 695 yards and five touchdowns despite missing three games with a shoulder injury.
