News: The Broncos have cut running back Mario Fannin.
Analysis: Once considered a dark horse to be a key cog in the Denver offense, Fannin couldn't stay healthy over the last two seasons. He's been off the Fantasy radar for a while now and should continue to be going forward.
News: Denver running back Mario Fannin, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last season around this time in training camp, injured his Achilles tendon Saturday during a team scrimmage, reports the Denver Post. The Broncos gave Fannin an MRI which confirmed he did suffer a tear to the Achilles. He is done for the season.
Analysis: Fannin suffered a torn ACL on Aug. 5 last season and has now hurt his Achilles tendon almost exactly one year later. Fannin is once again done for the season in early August. He probably wasn't going to be expected to produce much for the Broncos in the backfield anyway. Fannin has low-end Fantasy value at this time and should be avoided in all leagues.
News: The Denver Broncos announced Sunday that injured RB Mario Fannin (knee) cleared waivers and will be placed on injured reserve, ending his rookie season.
Analysis: Fannin, who was signed as an undrafted free agent, was carted off the field on Friday and then was cut on Saturday. He was battling for a backup running back job and probably wasn't going to factor in Fantasy. Continue to ignore him.
News: Denver waived injured RB Mario Fannin on Saturday, a day after he suffered a knee injury at practice and had to be carted off the field. His place on the roster was taken by RB C.J. Gable, a former USC player who was claimed off waivers from New Orleans.
Analysis: Fannin was signed by the Broncos as undrafted free agent out of Auburn. However, his knee injury will likely keep him sidelined for an extended period of time and he should obviously not be considered an option in upcoming Fantasy drafts.
