Chargers announce Week 7 inactives vs. Chiefs

(10/19/2014) The Chargers have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 7 matchup with the Chiefs: cornerback Jason Verrett (shoulder), running backs Ryan Mathews (knee) and Donald Brown (concussion), linebackers Jeremiah Attaochu (hamstring) and Manti Te'o (foot), wide receiver Dontrelle Inman and defensive tackle Ricardo Mathews.

The two running backs and Te'o were ruled out on the team's final injury report, while Attaochu was doubtful to play. Verrett is inactive after being questionable on the final injury report, but cornerback Brandon Flowers (groin) and linebackers Dwight Freeney (knee) and Cordarro Law (ankle) are all active after also being questionable.

Five Chargers are active after drawing a probable tag, including wide receiver Eddie Royal (elbow), linebacker Reggie Walker (ankle), cornerback Shareece Wright (knee) and offensive linemen D.J. Fluker (ankle) and Rich Ohrnberger (back).


Chargers unveil Week 3 inactives

(9/21/2014) The Chargers listed six players on their inactives for Week 3 against the Bills, after moving Melvin Ingram to injured reserve.

Wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, defensive backs Chris Davis and Steve Williams, running back Ryan Mathews, and defensive linemen Ricardo Mathews and Ryan Carrethers are all inactive for Sunday's game.

(9/14/2014) The Chargers have listed CB Brandon Flowers, LB Jarret Johnson, CB Jahleel Addae, RB Branden Oliver, CB Chris Davis, DT Ricardo Mathews and OL Doug Legursky as inactive Week 2 against the Seahawks. 

Flowers was considered questionable coming into the week. Addae had already been ruled out for Week 2.

(9/1/2014) The Chargers signed free agent nose tackle Ricardo Mathews. A seventh-round pick in the 2010 draft, Mathews appeared in 52 games for the Colts, recording 51 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

(4/15/2014) The Texans have signed defensive lineman Ricardo Mathews to a contract. Originally a seventh-round pick of the Colts, Mathews sparingly played last year. He'll compete for a roster spot in training camp.
